We have to consider all the trauma of ML. As he was hiding from his past living a lie that shuns everything and everyone for him, untill she comes shaking his world upside down.He wasn't ready to ocme back to life and her persuation and sweet stalking made him beleive in love. And she never questions him about his life as she knew he had difficult life, she was over the moon to get a man she loves more than herself. And after all these years how do you expect him to tell her that, her father was a serial killer, his identity is of someone elses, his sister is a killer, he is taking a fall for someone else or his adoptove parents are one nail in coffin? How do you expect him to comeout of it normally. His marriage was the only normal thing in his life that gave him some comfort. And he does love her dearly. And she loves her too much that she is trying to prove hard that he is not bad guy. Which she will, but yes she will be more heartbroken with each episode that even the love she gave him wasn't enough for him to trust her, but she will understand and there are million reasons for it as well. So ML lyings sure are at fault and that is coming for him when she is going to confront her. But thats it, given what he went through... Nothing else matters.
This is by far the best drama of 2020 after The World of Married, but it is even greater than that.Epsiode after episode, all cracks are coming to the lies for a greater confrontation between husband and wife.Gosh the pain his wife is enduring knowing the truth now, and pretending to be clueless infront of him is the hardest act one can put. The bed scene in epaiode 7 was so poignant that a tear from her eyes made it so harder to watch.I was right from the beginning that he can not be a bad guy, and I was absolutely right. Imagine going through trauma, child of serial killer made to assume someone else identity, taking the fall for someone else wrong doings and shunning the world for himself, is the most cruel thing to be done to a person.She opened a new world for him, and he started living knowing fullly that past will haunt him if he starts living again. .. But love indeed can save lives. And it did, and it will also in the end as well. The wife is wise, because she is the one who made him live, she is the one who loved him larger than life and more than she loves herself. So I am hopeful.If this drama doesn't have happy ending. I am going to protest infront of tvN headquarters.
As expected the series offered nothing with its first episode.
Same good old innocent FL haunted by her mother memories, failing at job encounters poor SL, who becomes shoulder to cry on, circles around her, helps her only to be sidelined by ML. I am already feeling extremely sorry for Ji Soo, whose character is going to be sad one, as always. And then there is female ex, her face is enough to tell that she is cunning, devious and one tortuous character.
The acting wise is going to be amazing, it was the only rating I could give 10 by 10. Others, I am not sure, as this the drama, whose story is told million times in different style in Korean television industry.
When on earth they will Ji-Soo a leading role and not a SL or whatever, he deserves more than this!!!
Whoever she ends up with, I will have no regrets whatsoever.... probably the only series, where there are two boys, but can't put either of them in lead or second lead category. Both are lead, the left out will be brother. Lol.
Whoever questions IU's acting, should go and watch My Mister and then decide if acting is "exaggerated and dramatic". Given that, this series, her role required exaggeration and she did a fabulous job in that.
As far as Yeo Jin-goo is concerned, he is a child star and well prepared actor. This was his proper and major lead role in TV and he did absolutely amazing job.
Only this ending could serve the series best, yes it was sad, but it was proper ending. She was neither dead nor alive. Her fate was tied to Moon tree by Magu (deity) and she could only be transit to afterlife, when that tree could becomes flower full. She had too much resentment and hate, that Tree could not bloom, so Magu sent, Ko Chang, to fill her heart with love. Thats why she had to leave, no matter what.

She will, she should and she is already searching... trying not to make him guilty to her eyes first but as she is the one who persuaded him to live again... and loves him more than she loves herself... I can not imagine how devastating and cruel it is for her to know such secrets her love of life hide all these years.
I hope they manage this drama well ... I hope this will be Ji Soo' s drama ... I don't want to get annoyed by…
Exactly that was main let down for me as well. I don't even need to see the first episode to judge how it's gonna be, coz it is good old story with betrayal, unrequited love and ex plotting and planning. Its so much so, that not only frustrating but it hurts to see female lead to see this dumb, in this age.
I don't mean to be too cynical, but this drama does not seem to offer anything unique or refreshing. It is the same old Korean plot of male vs. second lead, spread all over with exes.

It wasn't about who is who, except for her lover, no would could guess, that Kang Bae was his unborn incarcerated child. I understand it can get boring if you see from a perspective of rom-com, but it was not romcom. I really enjoyed the show, and the message it try to give "(of happiness, no matter what), and the pain that characters hold behind their smiles, what makes me keep going.
In simple: Male lead: is not convincing enough for their relationship from any angle. Female lead: is boring and doesn't have any proper story or hold until now. Second lead: he is not understanding, having been rejected he clings to his feelings.
The story could have been impactful, if writer had tried to give them a proper chance to resolve things. 12 episodes in and they broke-up already after being together for just 1 episode. WTH I mean.
OLD AHJUMA: this cunning bi**** is too much, and women of that age, seems like overpowered everything and male lead couldn't do anything to prevent their relationship going down to toilet.
Why are people constantly dropping dirt on DG, when every episode it’s showing the ML being more problematic…
ML lied because he also don't know that in past lives, old ahjuma was the one created misunderstanding between HJ and male lead, when he was arrested trying to save HJ from the scheming that old ahjuma created at the MUSICAL BOX shop. She wanted to separate them, but instead male lead got arrested. When he came back, old ahjuma showed him that HJ and DG are couple now. So he broke up with her went US or away.
That is why he lied, as he thinks she was responsible for their breakup and might suffer in this life knowing. But its always been old fucking ahjuma. Also, for that reason male lead resents and hostile towards DG and their relationship.

Because it is too much to handle. Like unnecessary separation of couple by old Ahjuma is totally crapy and out of the line.

The plotting of their separation is on peak, liek it boils my blood to see, that male lead is unable to do anything to that old ahjuma bi**** to stop. She trapped her again in this life as well, and to save her, he broke up with her, it wasn't actually breakup, but it was a forced breakup.
It just writer is not ready to give them enough chance to resolve their issues, and right when they should have been couple and strong, episode 13 will seem them apart, in 14/15 they will expose lies and truth will come out. Second lead will realise she try belongs to lead, she herself will be clear of her feelings and in last episode they will be able to make it.
So imagine, they will only get handful of 15-20 minutes of together and drama will end. So tell me is it worth watching?
Having said this, it isn't as bad, as Dinner Mate was, I will continue watching this drama, but if you are looking for less stressful story then this is not it.
This show is going to be a torture for those, who wants them to be together forever, because episode by episode, they are going to fall apart as secrets will unfold, until the every end. Either this will result in wife's death or husbands, there is a 50/50 chance that it will have a happy ending. I hope for good ending, as for 13-some episodes, writer will be tormenting us with secrets, so end better be good otherwise... its just a waste.

I mean, 32 episodes, and they created this? There was nothing special about this drama, not even the mental illness they try to project was properly educated. I actually felt truly sad for male ex as show ends, as he did a "fanfuckingtastic" job of portraying a psycho and someone who is in real pain... nonetheless at fault. No sympathy for female ex though. But salute to main leads, who despite good at acting, failed to create an inch of chemistry and love. There was a moment at the end of episode 15 when male ex-finally understood that he might lose the women he loves for doing all the crazing things so he decided to remove her from her mind and when he crosses her in hospital corridor, and pretended not to know her, broke my heart. I really felt bad for him... I wish him to find him his own happiness now.
Jung is such a talented young actor among all the Korean actors I have seen these days. His performance in this series, is like acting roller coaster of emotions, and this was one of the few series, where viewers don't have to listen to words to get the story. He acted, with such serenity and showed pain and conveyed all the script from his eyes. He has a power of telling stories through his eyes. In every drama of his, you can see, her eyes are actually doing all the work of acting
