It’s for a different role, but the YAMLF ML just got nominated for best supporting actor at this year’s Golden Eagle Awards yayyy. Hope more people check out YAMLF. It’s a bit rare to find a light romance these days that’s anchored by leads who are both good at their craft like ZXC and WYW.
Congrats to Steven for being nominated for best supporting actor at this year’s Golden Eagle Awards - it’s for playing Lin Zhiwei back in 2022. It’s his first major award nomination and he is still so young!
IM no longer seeing a countdown clock!! are all d eps out???
No, I am waiting for the update today! I don’t know if wetv will give us international viewers the option but in CN they can watch everything remaining tonight.
Ahhh we got so many lovely moments in the last couple of episodes - everything from SY and TY’s adorable I love yous to their reactions after their kiss to SY begging and stealing a goodnight kiss from TY, and later TY stealing one back while he was sleeping was so so endearing.
And goodness, I really teared a little when SY showed up at the cinema and TY cried 🥺🥺 they’re such sweethearts.
I have to give kudos to both actors for portraying TY and SY so naturally - SY and TY really seem like actual people who love each other so sincerely and earnestly. We’re kind of straying from slice of life to fairytale romance territory here and this could have easily crossed the line into becoming overly sweet / cliched but it didn’t for me. It makes me sad to think the drama is drawing to a close soon.
Not sure why so many negative comments.. they r so cute together.. dont worry they kiss tomorrow 😘
Yes, they were especially cute in episode 22!
I guess people are being annoyed by the near misses - at this point it’s really repetitive as heck, you can tell the script is written by a newbie - but a lot of other matters happened and TY and JSY opened up so much to each other. It’s not a ‘bad’ drama simply because they didn’t kiss 👀 .
It seems like Zhou Mo staged that scene and then lied to his boss (or whoever was on the phone) about her taking…
It’s in the middle of 22 and they’ve not revealed his motives yet. They just gave us a scene of Zhou Mo playing with stray cats right after he left the meeting with Tang Yan where he upset her … I guess they are trying to hint he is more than he seems
It seems like Zhou Mo staged that scene and then lied to his boss (or whoever was on the phone) about her taking the bribe - he didn’t even actually get a chance to offer it explicitly to her.
Episode 22 is my fave after episode 13 so far. Tang Yan and Jiang Shiyan are so sweet (when they get to be together without people interrupting them). Both actors really did a great job - they have such a natural, believable dynamic as a couple.
Zhou Mo was the only con of this episode but he also seems to be playing some kind of game with his boss, hmm.
We finally got the adorable hospital scene - I just wish it was longer because they are so ridiculously fluffy…
From the episode previews, it seems they are now officially dating and the next issue for them relationship wise is not spilling it to their friends 🤣.
We finally got the adorable hospital scene - I just wish it was longer because they are so ridiculously fluffy together. The bits where SY keeps sneaking peeks at TY and later watches her sleep at the side of his bed are so sweet. Also, there is light at the end of the tunnel from the previews \o/
Drunk Tang Yan in Episode 18 was so hilarious and adorable at once and the way Shiyan looked after her and at her the whole time made my heart melt - and I was glad he didn’t kiss her in the end since she was really drunk and out of it. Also, I believe Shiyan calling her his little sun (and bathroom heater lol) is the first ‘confession’ we’ve heard from either of them.
But it’s too bad that after things ramped up another notch, the drama followed this up with workplace drama and kinda too many fillers in Episode 19 - especially that unnecessary event in Episode 19 which makes Tang Yan miss what would have been their first date! The writer seems to know perfectly well what they did since earlier on they had Shiyan mutter to himself about how FWR's marital issues are derailing things just when they're coming to a boil.
I really can't think of any significant plot related reason for Tang Yan not to be able to go on their date other than the production team wanting to pad the episode count a bit more. Even if they wanted to give Zhou Mo an in with Shiyan by helping him locate Tang Yan, surely there's a lot of other ways this could have been written …
I just hope they don’t have too many fillers in the subsequent eps.
I've really been enjoying this series & able to tolerate every little interruption and foiled plan until now.…
I agree, I have been enjoying the drama so far. But what happened towards the end of episode 19 appears to be such obvious filler that has nothing much to do with their relationship. Plot-wise, there seems to be no reason to derail their weekend date with such a random event and make it seem like something happened to her ... the only takeaway from that incident is that Shiyan gets easily stressed / worried over her but we already knew this.
Im not trying to be mean but feng weiran and his wife are kind of annoying sometimes with their comments about…
I don’t enjoy FWR and Yanan as much - seems they are there for comedic purposes - but to be fair barring the moment early on in the show where FWR dismissed Shiyan’s misgivings about Zhou Mo, neither of them are actually aware that they are giving Shiyan and Tang Yan advice about each other; they seem to really think this is just about some third party . For some reason, out of everyone around them, only Cheng Hui appears to have realized what is going on!
I feel like some of you are watching a completely different drama to me. The friends and family are excellent…
IKR, the pace is slow but I am quite enjoying it (except for that auntie with the plums in episode 17 omg) and glad for the absence of a lot of the usual romance / angst cliches here so far.
Also, seeing some of the comments on this drama and the focus on there being no kissing yet, I wonder if some are confusing a lack of skinship between JSY and TY for a lack of emotional development. Not saying I don’t want to see some kiss scenes from the promo trailers happen soon, but neither of them are looking for a casual fling from what we can tell. Just because they haven’t crossed the line of becoming physically intimate doesn’t mean there haven’t been a lot of subtle and some not so subtle changes in their relationship in the drama, especially in the last few episodes. They go from constantly claiming they are just friends as close as ‘family’ to each realizing internally that they aren’t satisfied with status quo and then coming to the mutual understanding (finally) that they both want to be more than friends.
They’re definitely starting on a romantic relationship at last instead of restricting themselves or worse, hiding behind that just friends label.
the lead couple have always many scene together since the first episode. ML and FL have the most screentime together.…
Yeah. This is one of the few cdramas where I am very satisfied with the main couple’s screentime. For sure there’s some scenes which come off as filler - a lot of the Sheng Nina sequences don’t further the main storyline much - but they are not as much as other dramas so far.
Are they going to kiss in the last episode 😖 they kill my excitement every time 😒
Well there is a lot of intimacy between them in the novel and I did see a few kissing scenes in the trailers. I don’t think it will take till the last episode.
