Anyway, I still love miles away and really enjoyed him as a lovesick puppy and a competent executive. And the little jokes about his height were funny. I could really feel the romance unlike in the early spring. I was very much enjoying this drama until episode 22 where she is disciplined for landing the airplane. Because I have a medical background, I was very attuned to the sloppy way. The plot handled the mean pilot instructor and his health problem. I can tell it is addressed in later episodes, but it feels to me just like a ploy to create dramatic tension between the couple.

I thought someone made a comment outside the room where the disciplinary meeting was happening that his vasovagal symptoms were all over his charts. But now I read that he was covering it up and I understand that this is exposed.

In such a disciplinary action, the medical files would have been pulled for him for sure. There also would have been feedback from the doctor who treated him when he got off the plane. There would have be no indications of a health problem other than the vasovagal syncope. Someone actually tells her when she comes out of the room. I think that he has vasovagal syncope.

I thought it would be safe with this drama if there was if there were unrealistic scenarios related to the aviation industry because I know nothing about it

Yes, that is how I was thinking. If they knew she was in that city then she might well try to leave by waterways if she escaped. They did not have other means to track her down., unlike the mail lead.

I have been wondering if making both men reasonable prospects for her that this may be a way of addressing class differences and identity.

If she marries the scholar she is not in the same social class as she was originally before her family trauma but at this point in time it seems an. Equal pairing. They are both educated and share many interests.

If she were to marry the male lead she would be living at her original class but I think would be more vulnerable to exposure. Would not be able to show her talents or reveal who she is.

This is in keeping with some of my thoughts about all the women who marry or want to marry the male lead being vipers who have suffered the humiliation of being second class in a male world.

I like how our female lead tells one of these aspiring wife characters that it is never right to trample someone else for your own rights or something to that effect

I am listening to a podcast aout this drama by someone who also read the book. Oh the perilss of adaptation to a drama.

The host is saying how there was a lot of s** in the novel and how Flora had more personality. This podcaster(Elle and Juniper) is also saying how she did not feel the passion between the two. Neither did I. So there was nothing to make me understand why they were together. I had to imagine they were having hot s** . I wondered why an intimacy director was even needed.

Stiil the actor is very good and that is the only reason I am happy I watched until the end.

There was a point when he forced himself into her house at the end that I was briefly worried for her safety.

His showing himself to her parents when she was trying to hide him was pure manipulation.

I am very puzzled about so many watchers romanticizing this drama. My thoughts are that they are young and inexperienced in relationships. It scares me that so many see this as acceptable. He is so typical of an abuser. Even in the final episodes one can see him wearing a manipulative facial expression. He is an excellent actor.

I agree with you that she has flaws(of course). I think there are many that do not appreciate the power differential and the effect it is having on her. This is why so many professional asociations censor such relationships.

We can only hope that the sequel might address his problems. I am not counting on it.
