This is a masterpiece but the ending was a little bit underwhelming for me. Still, highly recommended tho. I love all the OST especially Eternal Love by MLTR. Definitely one of 2014's best drama!!
I think I made the right choice to not binge watch this. I enjoyed it more and I was able to appreciate each episodes. This zombie/gore genre isn't really my interest, but I wanted to see the casts because I've seen most of them on their previous projects and they really don't disappoint.
For those wanting to see them in another drama, here are my recommendations (tho some of them are supporting/younger counterparts/guest, not leads) Yoon Chan Young (Cheong San) -Thirty But Seventeen -Doctor Romantic -Doctor John
Jo Yi Hyun (Nam Ra) -School 2021 -My Country -Hospital Playlist 1 & 2
Son Sang Yeon (Woo Jin) -Racket Boys (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) -Doctor Romantic 2
I'm currently at episode 4... may I ask if the story improved on the following episodes? I'm thinking of dropping this tbh because I don't know if it'll be worth it.
He was in the class with level three so he must be inteligent or a good learner. Though he is more on the funny…
I agree!!! They really missed a lot of things out in TGG. I watched it when it was airing so I felt the excitement for each episodes, but after finishing and seeing the story as a whole, I feel like it kind of ruined the charm of the 1st season tbh

Fair point! I actually think that Pang's backstory was poorly written too. I also replied this on one of the comments below. The 'from the rearmost class' and severed friendship with Nack was too shallow for a MC. His character's motivations for his actions are too weak compared to other students. I thought his story will be explored more on TGG, but the story focused more on politics, which was relevant to what's happening in Thailand that time (up until now)

Oh okay, I get your point now. I had to rewatch episode 12 and 13 to understand your point 😅 The original audio can activate everyone's potential, but the audio file they used in the placement exam was tailored only for those with "more complex brain and higher IQ" as what Mr. Pom said.
But in Ohm's defense, as what Basia has commented, Ohm is in class 3 out of 8 so somehow, we can assume that he also fits on the "more complex brain and higher IQ" description of gifted students. Besides , on the 1st episode of season 1, when Mr. Pom was explaining the rules they have to follow and flashes random numbers in between of his presentation, Ohm also raised his hands when they were asked if they knew what the last set of numbers mean... Yes, there are instances which they showed him as funny and somehow stupid, it doesn't mean that he's not intelligent.
I think maybe the theory of multiple intelligence by Gardner applies on the "selection" of gifted students. Because if we're to observe their potentials, Mon's was related to sports, Claire's was related to feelings/emotions, etc.

But it was already explained in season 1 that being "gifted" is not about being smart or genius.. They are gifted because of their "potentials". Hence, a student don't necessarily needs to be very intelligent to be part of the gifted.
I'm currently at episode 9 and at this point, I don't really care about the 'case' anymore 🤣 Their shitty situations are enough for me to get continuously hooked in this drama
I'm close to finishing School 2021, but I still can't feel that this is part of the School series... Though it has a good story, it's just like any other romance drama set in school. I mean, sure, S2015 and S2017 have romance too and kind of revolves more in that aspect than school unlike S2013, but S2021 doesn't give off the same vibes with it's predecessors. I can't really explain it well, but my point is... even though it's pretty average, it doesn't fit as part of the School series.
But regardless, it doesn't mean that S2021 is bad... I just finished ep13 and I actually like it so far.
Now that you have put this worm in my brain, I'll be hoping n wishing for this like a lot now...:) But the only…
I think it will be difficult to change the drama into college setting because of the plot, but what you said totally makes sense to me. I haven't realized this but the fight scenes and disrespect towards the teachers will be more convincing (to international fans, at least) if they'll be wearing pants instead of shorts 😅 Maybe they can use pants as uniform even though they're in high school like in F4 Thailand and Great Men Academy...
I'm wishing for a Thai adaptation of S2013 ever since they aired Who Are You in 2020, then after their performance in Bad Buddy, I can't help imagining how perfect OhmNanon would be as Nam Soon and Heung Soo...
plus, if they don't want to do bl for a while, S2013 will be perfect
I will never get tired of saying this, but if GMMTV will do another adaptation of a kdrama, it should be School 2013 and be given to Ohm and Nanon... I can't stop thinking about it lol
I shipped both the class teachers so freaking much in school 2013 mahn.
Oh, yeah!! That's one of the few crumbs of 'romance' we got from S2013, yet they didn't gave that to us! I really thought they would end up together too..
But that's what I like about S2013... they gave us romance but not really romance 😅 I love that they focused more on school issues and friendship rather than romance which all the other School franchise didn't do.
Since GMMTV made a remake of Who Are You: School 2015, I wish they'll also do one for School 2013. Nanon and Ohm will probably do great as Go Nam Soon and Park Heung Soo. If they make a twist on the story and make it a BL, that will be cool, but regardless, the story will be great even if there is no romantic relationship. Especially that they would probably not do BL for the mean time. The story of each students and teachers will be enough, and Nanon and Ohm will definitely ace how Lee Jong Suk and Woo Bin portrayed the friendship too... The depth of the each characters will be perfect for OhmNanon.
