For a while I thought it's work behind crazy social media promotion, but now after the reception of people towards Secret Relationship it makes it much concrete that BLs are still majorly catered to mainstream straight female fantasies, like seeing the idealized version of men in their eyes, or wanting to see the vulnerable side of men, it has absolutely nothing to do with queer people. What constitutes a good BL to a straight woman is drastically different to the likes of an actual gay person! Even if it's miles away and detached from reality!

True that! I myself did that few years ago when BLs were not that mainstream, but now the budget and target audience have both increased manifold, so now I give stricter ratings to those which I feel are much overrated and generous which are underrated!
