On episode 9. The romance is barely there but the story is so compelling and the comedy is gold🤣 I am loving the ML with the FL but there is something about his scenes with Master Heo's granddaughter that I love. They have good chemistry too.

Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty has been good so far and the 2nd season is coming out soon.

Its actually really good. There isnt alot of skinship but the chemistry is good and the story is great.

They tried relegating him to a lesser character and he still came out on top.

One of my big pet peaves with love triangles is when the writers never make it clear where the person in the middle stands. They gave so much screen time to SML down the stretch that it felt like he was the ML. Episode 40 did not sit right with me at all. She obviously has feelings for the SML based on her actions and what they showed. Now it just feels like she settled with the ML. Hell the only scenes for the ML and FL that were romantic was like the last 2 minutes while SML got like 10-15 minutes of professing his love and flashbacks of them in the past life and everything. Based on what Ive read seems like they took a bunch of liberties when writing SML character arc smdh. Now Ive read there was supposed to be a big wedding and kids too..... Those last few episodes really took the wind out of the sails for me 8.5/10

With the exception of Shang Jue these girls are making these guys look like fools.

Does Zi Yu step up. He seems like a pushover right now. I thought he wouldve been smart or something but the FL easily got him wrapped around her finger.

For some reason I cant complete any drama with this ML. I dont know why. The dramas arent bad but after maybe the first few episodes I lose interest. Only one Ive finished is Blue Whisper

The text message doesnt play a big part at all tbh. They were more so acquaintances than anything in college they just so happened to be on the same team. When they finally discuss it they are both like "oh okay" and proceed with their normal development🤣

Only thing wrong with this drama rn is that it needs a better opening song. This one is too relaxing and makes me sleepy🤣

From the comments it seems like this drama is more of a tragic love story for the FL and SML smdh..... They really watered down the ML to just be FL errand boy. I feel like with love triangles in dramas they should fizzle out atleast halfway through the show but this apparently goes on for 40 ep. and you end up feeling like the FL was in love with the SML as much as she was with ML....

From what I read it wasnt a bad ending. It just ended on a cliff hanger

When does ML start stepping up? So far he is more like an assistant for the FL. Is he afraid of what that power will lead to? In his past life he seemed more active and upfront in politics. Maybe he is just tired of it in this life.

From what Ive seen its revealed that SRQ came back as well and his motives are legit and he loves FL but knows she loves ML.
