Edit: I just looked up pictures of the actress when she was younger and yeah she was drop dead gorgeous.

The mom is still pretty but her younger self was absolutely stunning. This was definitely more of a daughter/mother relationship drama than anything else and I loved it but that ending fell a little flat imo. Felt kinda rushed. But still a solid 8.5/10 drama

Only bright spot about those last episodes were the progression between YZM and his dad. I hate how in a span of 3 episodes they force his dads death and then the moms illness. The last 2 episodes shouldve been happy and light.

I think the men will get their positions in court reinstanted Hua Qi will become head of the family after HZ leaves or marries YX and theyll probably travel the world.

I can see ML and FL traveling the world in the end tbh. I think in the end both of them will want nothing to do with the imperial court.

If they get married I can see her attending the wedding to bring some prestige back to the family like she did for Madam Hua funeral, but I cant see Shaoyao living with the Shen family, maybe she moves back into Ling Manor.

Its a greate watch. You wont enjoy the mom as much if you skip over her bad parts. She has become one of my favorite characters. What Ive learned is that she will swim with sharks if it meant the best for her kids

I also want to see scenes between the Empress Dowger and Shaoyao. It doesnt seem like the imperial family knows about how concidering the emperor hasnt tried to use her to control YX

Exactly the antagonist was the antagonist from the start only surprise was the reveal about the mole other than that they kept everything simple and straight to the point.

Why cant Xanxia's be like this? They did away with all the extra angst and cliches and still produced a compelling and interesting story. Ive been hoping to see a good Xanxia drama where the immortals stay immortal rather than becoming mortal🤣

Still weird seeing FL younger brother and her best friend in a relationship. I know the actor is in his 20s but he looks like a teenager. Maybe he wouldve looked better with Zhangs daughter.

On ep. 30 I thought she was about to kiss Shen Li😭

Well that kisss just happened. They have great chemistry. Now I want them in one of those fluffy romances together🤣
