Finished this last night and I did not like the last 8 ep. I found most of the plot unnecessary. I would’ve preferred it focusing on the FL getting her divinity back or extending her life so that she can live a nice healthy life. Wengu and Hong Luan were not even needed tbh. I found the god father really cringy too. I loved the ending though.

I’m really looking forward to this!

I hate how these dramas try to justify the cruelty of characters. Wengu commited genocide and was remorseless about it and yet the FL tries to die for him...... Then after everything she has to deal with Hong Luan talking down to her. Just because she didn’t let him commit more attrocities. Wengu and Hong Luan’s arc should’ve ended in the abyss imo. It’s like the writers are trying to justify his actions by saying he did it because he was in love.

So she doesn’t end up with SWL?......

I just read what it’s adapted from and I’ll skip this one. The topic of rape makes me really uncomfortable

This was so great. I honestly can’t think of 1 flaw with this drama except maybe thinking it was unnecessary to kill Mimi......The character development on this show was so well done. Major props to the actor who played Sher Er, he killed it. I was all over the place with him. Hao DU’s development was exceptionally done as well. Amazing drama!!!

Darren Chen has become my favorite out of the 4 guys from Meteor Garden, now I need him and Shen Yu in a drama?

On ep.27 right now and the fact that she was willing to die with Wengu after trying to kill him a few minutes prior kinda annoyed me.... The guy literally commited genocide and basically admitted to trying to get you to kill the love of your life for an antidote that he knew wasn’t real. I felt no pity for him or the cherry blossom demon....

I watched this for Darren and absolutely loved it. It’s really light and fluffy. No major drama just a nice smooth show.

He just gets some board members to sale their shares to him but he still treats the company as if it’s his own. He doesn’t fire any past employees or anything.

I’m on ep. 21 of season 1 I think I’ll wait to continue until season 2 is done

He takes over Song Lin’s company after Song Lin starts a tech company he tries to compete with him again but loses bad and then retires to spend time with his wife. He ends up managing one of the coffee shops he owns.

She doesn’t win the competition because scandals broke out but she still gains a lot of new followers for her company.

It’s his assistant. But Song Lin already knows. His competitor is forcing the assistant to do it. There aren’t any huge ramifications though. I love the fact that they don’t go overboard, everything is done in a strategic business manner there are a few underhanded tricks but nothing to make you think the antagonist is a bad guy.
