We're suddenly experiencing a sudden rate drop, so we're making a little bit of drama about it lol. For me, it's been so worth the watch, the performance of the main leads is heart compelling, and their eyes, microexpressions, and body language is good enough to make you cry. The story is fast-paced in terms of the plot, in these 18 episodes a lot of stuff has happened, FL and ML are really sweet, capable, and intelligent, and the angst, at the moment, is a good and well-executed one. The costumes are super beautiful; I've seen many people complaining about the CGI, but for my standards, it looks cool and good.

When he said that he was kind of triggered by the Supreme emperor's words, it must have unconsciously hit him hard "YOU CANNOT FALL IN LOVE, IT'D BE A DISASTER", and at that moment he was already catching feelings for YD, so when she asked that, she just triggered him more xd.

Tbh, I love the way he managed things while staying in YY's character, an emperor who cares for the three realms but also cares about YD. One of the best MLs in my heart.

I think he is a good protagonist and very intelligent. He knew how much he could hurt her if he was impulsive.
I don't think he ever imagined that his happy, and optimistic YD, who also gave him hope to live, would make such a decision. But he reacted almost immediately, I agrree with the comment of @itsonlyrubia in such a chaotic situation, he made the best decision possible.
