Totally respect your opinion, but I hope you can give the main leads characters a chance. In the beginning, I was getting a bit annoyed at Lin Zhixiao for her attitude towards Gu Wei but as the drama progresses you can see different sides and colors of her personality and also of Gu Wei's, so both of them have slowly grown on me. That's my experience at the moment, I'm aware that all people enjoy different kinds of stories and dramas :3

You'll see how amazing and truthful she is to her friends in Ep 17. Qian Wei has already made her such a big favor and Zi Xin has let go of Lu Xun, I think as long as we are in the past we can trust her.

I just want to highlight that we're getting all airing episodes for free and at the same time that in China. I was so pleasing surprise when I checked Youtube and all the episodes aired at the moment were available for free. I've been watching C-dramas for so long, and this rarely happens.

Maybe Youku doesn't have the rights for international airing? Idk, it looks like that it's the case. Croton MEGA HIT has uploaded some stuff about TBW, created a playlist, and they're also part of the networks that produced this drama. My guess is that they have the rights, it's just that they're slower to upload the caps with English subs.

Croton MEGA HIT released TBW trailer some hours ago, I guess that's going to be the platform where is going to be released tomorrow. I would've preferred Youku, but this one is ok too.

Both leads are remarkable and very talented actors. If you don't like them, there's thounsands of Chinese dramas for you to watch where they don't appear even once. Futhermore, have you even watched the trailers? Allen does kissing scenes and this one looks like it's going to have a decent amount of those.
