I don't manage to comprehend how this drama has such a low rating. This is by far one of the most high-quality modern dramas that I've ever watched: - The pacing is the best. Each episode is different, has its purpose, and makes significant advances for the plot and climax of the drama. - The chemistry between the leads is top-notch, and their relationship is super supportive and healthy. Furthermore, each one of their interactions feels so organic and natural. - Lu Xun and Qian Wei are excellent main leads, and in each episode, I just get more convinced about it. - The number of life lessons this show has it's mind-blowing, from friends, love, and family to dreams, morals, and regrets. - This drama is filled with heartwarming and heartwrenching moments that will make one smile and cry rivers. - The OST is remarkable and very proper for each scene. Anyway, to anybody judging this drama for the rating: Don't get deceived, this drama is an underrated gem.
idk why but i feel bad for gao xi . ofcourse the way she behaved with the fl due to her jealousy was too much…
If they had some kind of romantic involvement or if in any moment Gu Wei had actually given her some real signals of liking her, yes, he would be the trash ex-love. However, that's not the case with his actions and words he was very clear about his feelings for her. It's just that Gao Xi kept lying to herself and also creating and misinterpreting so much stuff (Remember when she put her hand on his? He took it off immediately, and at that time, he didn't even like Lin Zhi Xiao). I feel like the whole "we're too similar" was just Gu Wei trying to find some kind of reason for not liking her, but loving someone is not something you decide or choose based on how excellent the other person is or how much the person matches your habits and personality, Gu Wei was even trying to tell her these, but he realized that she didn't get them. You like someone, and that's it, 喜欢就是喜欢!
I feel like that’s where the age part trope comes in, he’s a man in his 30’s and i guess when you’re at…
I think ML has been pretty clear about his nonexistent feelings towards Dr.Gao with his actions and his words, and he stated very clearly to Lin Zhi Xiao that they were just colleagues, and they don't have that kind of relationship. I guess he hasn't directly told Dr. Gao that he doesn't like her because it's not like she has made a straight-up confession or anything like it. However, Lin Zhi Xiao lacked actions and explanations during these two episodes (ofc, because it's a short amount of time), so that's why her feelings towards SML confused Gu Wei a lot. As you may see in the new episodes, the misunderstanding immediately cleared when Xiao Xiao said that she doesn't like this new guy. Anyway, it's not like Gu Wei is perfect or who is more to be blamed in this whole situation. Both of them lacked communication, and that's completely normal to people and even more when they are a couple.

But I think the boundaries that Gu Wei puts between him and Dr. Gao are more established and stronger than the relationship between SML and Xiao Xiao. Besides, Gu Wei explains without even been ask to...
