The deaths happening one after another just kind of ruined the impact. A character death should have meaning. I feel like they were just rushing the ending and didn't know how to end it.

Omg why do most cdramas just fall apart at the end? I am devastated.

I really love the development of Ruyi's character and how after finding love she doesn't undergo a drastic personality change. There are changes to be sure but it's subtle and doesn't completely turn her into a different person. I've always hated how cdramas tend to turn stronger FLs into wilting flowers waiting to be rescued by their man once they fall in love. Ruyi is still dangerous and cunning but she's no longer as reserved as before and is more comfortable around NYZ and joking with the Scooby Doo gang.

Hope to see her in more badass roles like Ren Ruyi in AJTL! She's blown me away with her acting. Even though I knew of her I never actually watched any of her dramas before. So glad she's made such a phenomenal comeback and with such a great drama. Along with Zhou Ye, she's my favorite actor of 2023.

Yes they both have the same concept: evil girl gets to go back to her younger self and decides to change for the better. The difference is Scent of Time has better character development and it's very much focused on the FL's journey and it isn't as messy and convoluted as SOKP. The acting is just all around better.

SOKP was already done better when it was called Scent of Time.

First drama I'm gonna rewatch as I wait for more episodes bc nothing else right now compares 😭 LSS is so badass in this role I'm genuinely mad we don't get FLs like this more often.

This is more about character than plot, which I don't mind especially if the acting is good and there is incredible chemistry. AJTL checks all those boxes.

Omfg yes. I am raging half the time there's a sad scene where the characters are talking and a song plays and the stupid subs overlap one another.

I agree, she's so amazing! Her facial acting is so on point. This drama really made me a fan of her and I can't wait for Fox Spirit Matchmaker.

This is way better than SOKP, trust me.

Ruyi laying the smackdown on LTG in ep 20 with only her words was just so satisfying to watch. LSS is just unbelievably amazing 😍

I was going to watch this after SOKP but I found SOKP so slow and boring that I switched over to this and I just kept binging. The acting is so good and the writing is amazing. The relationship between the characters feels real and believable. Even though I wasn't a fan of the ML at first he grew on me and I don't think the character could be played by anyone else better. It's a shame cnets judge actors on their looks on not their talent. We'd have less crappy dramas if good acting was appreciated more.

Does anyone know what the synopsis is?

I hope anyone who's doubting Zhou Ye will watch Scent of Time to see how phenomenal she is. I'm super excited to see her in more epic dramas.

Zhou Ye slayed this episode. Such phenomenal acting when she realized everything was a dream. The ending felt so rushed. They wasted so much time on so many of those cameo characters. Now I really want to see how she navigates life after the fact and knowing that everyone closest to her is dead.

Ok can we all agree that HRZ gets way too much screentime? Sometimes even more than HQ in these later eps. He was ok in small doses but this is getting out of hand. The character is so one dimensional and boring.

It's par for the course when it comes to Asian dramas sadly. Majority of the audience are women who live to see these romances acted out so they can live through it vicariously. It's even worse when the ML is attractive. I watch a lot of dramas on viki and the comments get so vicious when the FL ever goes against the ML. Like god forbid a woman has a mind of her own and says what she wants 🙄
