After five years, they check if Netflix productions are still being watched. If they are not popular, they get removed. Sometimes people start rewatching them after their removal is announced, and then they don`t remove them. Like A Korean Odyssey: It came to Netflix in March 2018, they announced the removal in March 2023, but it is still there right now. Other dramas, which are not Netflix productions, get removed after two years if they are unpopular. Some get new contracts later on and come back into the program later. But I think it deffers between the countries. Where are you from?
Great article! I am with Anquat when they talk about One Spring Night in comparison to Something In The Rain.…
Thank you, Salbee. Actually I also liked One Spring Night, and I binged it, but I am addicted to those sensual moments, I guess, and to the childish and playful behaviour that we see in SITR a lot. I suppose we are on the same page with that (:
for a challenge i was looking up top directors and i was so surprised when i noticed how often Shin Won Ho collaborated…
My personal supercombo is Seo Sook-hyang with Park Shin-woo, even though they have only had one project together yet. I have watched Don’t Dare to Dream (Jealousy incarnate) many times, and I am so looking forward to Ask the Stars (When The Stars Gossip), which is their next collaboration, a huge project, hopefully coming in 2024. Seo Sook-hyang writes about interesting subjects, and Park Shin-woo has developed a very interesting directing style. Do you remember It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Encounter? Beautiful pictures. It's Okay to Not Be Okay has those interesting paper cutting sequences, the fairy tale bits, and other surprising parts. A very interesting director.
I started the article for writers, but then ended up with OSN and SITR similarities.😳
You are right, that`s how it is, good point. I hope you are not too disappointed. There is not much that we know about the writer, so we wrote about their works instead. I actually hope someone can contribute some knowledge about the writer.
I don't know if I'm the only one but there's this thing that i have been keeping and now want to say... so after…
Hi there, I can totally relate to you. I am also sensitive to sound, but since Thailand is /the/ country of BLs, I try Thai BLs again and again, dropping most of them on the way. There are a few Thai dramas that I really liked, and since you didn`t see them yet I thought I`d reach out to you. So here they are: I Will Knock You Cutie Pie Great Men Academy Meow Ears Up TharnType The Eclipse Vice Versa Most of them are on your PTW list already, maybe you can try the one or other. I will knock you was my favourite out of them, especially because of the music, but the story was also great. Have fun! And don`t give up on Thai BLs yet! 😁
I liked it - I gave it an 8. It's nice to see a gay relationship instead of a BL one, the plot was coherent and…
I like gay relationships, too, and I also loved the female characters, but I am a bit confused because I expected a BL. Is it possible that the writer didn`t understand the difference between a gay romance and a BL? They have a few good BLs in Korea, too - Semantic Error was really nice, right? I think the potential in Korea is huge because of the good screenwriters, but the have to grasp the concept of a BL first.
I saw it at our university, it was a special screening of the Korean association, I followed their invitation. I am sure any Korean association will be happy to help you. I don`t think you can find it on the internet right now.
