Misunderstanding + miscommunication is one of my least favourite tropes. This entire plot hinges on the fact that these two people couldn't talk to each other for five minutes when it mattered. Does that bode for a believable HEA? Not unless they have both grown and matured considerably as human beings. And they haven't really done that, at least not enough. They may end up together at the end of the series, but I'd give them six months at the most.
This was so much better than I thought it was going to be. Really impressed so far. The source manga is an old yaoi classic, but it begins in a way that is also very much a product of its time and I really hope that the non-con kiss in the hospital is as far as they'll go down that road, unlike the manga... It was already toned down in the anime adaptation, IIRC. I like that they've added so much backstory to this LA, it makes Jin/Junta more relatable than in the manga. They've really fleshed out the characters a lot, Akin/Takato also already has more depth to him. I loved that they kept the wings/feathers theme for Jin (in case anyone was confused, it's a metaphor for how dazzling he looks in Akin's/Takato's eyes). Will definitely continue watching!
What did you expect from GMMTV, lol. It's not Hollywood or an S-budget C-drama. I went in expecting it to be about…
Haha yes. Although I've seen even worse butterflies in C-dramas, not as plain looking, maybe, but moving around as if they were paper cutouts on a stick... At least this one looked fairly okay flying around
What did you expect from GMMTV, lol. It's not Hollywood or an S-budget C-drama. I went in expecting it to be about as convincing as if my little country had made it and I was pretty much spot on
I loved that all the dogs were in the end credits!
