Yeah, each to their own! No reason to force ourselves to watch things we don't enjoy. And right now there's so much to choose from that it's hard to keep up! I'm not sure if I'll continue with this either, I mostly checked it out from curiosity. But slapstick sitcom is not really my thing either, and I really feel you about My Third... I loved both Duang With You and Khemjira, though. DWY was very sweet, it was my comfort BL when it aired. Khemjira was right up my alley, I loved it to bits.

They really just went "let's make a series where we can put ALL OF OUR ACTORS" 😂 (and have them do something other than BL) I have to say, it's great to see Poppy in a main role for once!

That's right, different authors, different lore. In the early vampire stories, being bitten and surviving would turn someone into a vampire, disregarding the exponential vampirism this would cause. In Buffy, IIRC, someone bitten to death by a vampire would turn into one after death, which is why that worldbuilding needed slayers, to keep the vamps from taking over. Today, the currently most popular method of conversion in vampire fiction seems to be being fed vampire blood right before the point of death, which can easily go wrong if you don't time it exactly right. This was the case in the 1990s TV series Forever Knight, but conversely, in that series lore, a vampire drinking the blood of a human who they are mutually in love with (and during intimacy, IIRC—it was a long time ago that I watched it) could cure their vampirism. Different lore has other ways, like a virus infection, or being cursed by gods or demons or witches or alien artifacts. There's no one "canon" way.

Watching ep 7 and 8 I was thinking all the time "this is so cute (and hot) and going so well...I'm worried"

If vampires were real and everyone they bit would turn into vampires, then the world would soon be just vampires with no humans left. It's an exponential curve.

Yeah the actor obviously thinks he has something going on with Ji Mingxuan so JMX must have led him on or at least acted very ambiguously toward him. I can only assume that he is indeed doing that just to provoke Shen Mo, but he's also made Shen Mo believe that he holds no value beyond convenience to JMX, so he doesn't think he has any right to feel provoked, let alone make a scene about it.

First episode opening scene when he mentioned the ex in the middle of a bj, and when Shen Mo got startled and flustered by that, he just pushed him away and got up and left. Forcing a hj on Shen Mo in a public restroom just to show off and make a point to Zou Yang (and, presumably, to Shen Mo). The recent ep when he ordered Shen Mo to come to the club party and then ignored him and acted flirty with Zhou Yi right in front of him. The way he makes Shen Mo think that he doesn't care about him at all and just uses him. These are just the first ones that come to mind.

That may be the case, but at this point I'm judging by the behaviours we've seen in the series, and it looks toxic as hell. It's fine if that's people's jam; I just call it what it is.

I agree with you about Ji Mingxuan. He is hot and cold, sometimes cruel, sometimes generous. He's acting as if Shen Mo means nothing to him beyond what contracted services he provides. Is that how you win someone's heart? Especially someone you know suffers from trauma? I know that's a popular romance trope, but it's not one I like or understand.

I agree. She's just a sweet, innocent little girl who deserves happiness. Getting the man she loves means nothing if that man is a selfish, duplicitous bastard who ends up breaking her heart...which he is very likely to do. And Ji Mingxuan is the one who enabled that, for his own selfish reasons. Shen Mo...he is also innocent, but I doubt An'an is going to see it that way.

But isn't the thing that they can't actually do CPR the correct way in dramas, because doing something that even just looks like real heart compressions on a healthy person could be kind of dangerous? Mouth to mouth, sure, thats not so dangerous, and it's easier to make it look real even when you're faking. And treating wounds, that's veeerrrry easy to do correctly, except the wounds are just prosthetics and fake blood and if they did it right they would ruin the fake wounds... So they just dab ineffectually with a tiny swab or pour some hemostatic powder on it 😂

You don't have to watch the previous parts, but you'll miss a bit of context, like understanding who everyone is in the friend group and how they got together. But if you don't care about that, it's fine, there's not really any plot that carries over from the other stories.
