I found some cute symbols and interpretations on tiktok and twitter so I wanted to share them here; Somewhat spoiler:When…
When Mi Jeong showered that night which usually she never does seemed a little fishy for me and my mind did wander at them spending the night together and that whole picturisation of them going on a hill did ring a bell but then I thought I was thinking too much.....but now your interpretation seems right enough because that scene does imply that something happened between them.
Also another one, for the ending, -----A 500₩ coin fell. not trapped, but barely hanging. its value is small…
Actually that coin picking scene seemed a bit confusing and after reading ur interpretation it finally makes sense :) Both the interpretations are just WOW!!
I liked how Gussi listened to the Yeom Mi Jung words in his head. kept on counting the happiness.and how he left…
Yes these little efforts coming from him and how Mi Jeong helped him slowly after their reunion gives us hope that things will be better for them in future....
Son Seok Ku's acting as an alcoholic didnt seem like acting at all. He is just perfect as Mr.Gu. I cant even imagine soemone else palying his role. He proved to be a star !!!
The way Mr.Gu described all the dead coming alive to him every morning and so he decided to get drunk from morning to night explains how miserable his life is......but he also made efforts by asking Mi jeong to listen to him because his therpaist had pointed out to him that there was no one in his life to share stuffs with. He wanted someone to be there for him because being a host he was prone to listen to everyones shit but there was no outlet for him to let it all out. He became like this because his job and his life had taken a toll on him. And it definitely isnt an overnight process to leave alcohol and sober up, which the writer portrayed beautifully by keeping it as realistic as possible.
Coming to Mi Jeong, she knew Mr.Gu was an alcoholic and she didnt straightaway protest him to stop alcohol.....the way she handled it was commendable because if she had protested at Mr.Gu to leave alcohol and explain all the side effects then he might have revolted back, things would have gone worst.....instead she asked him to laugh and welcome all the dead coming alive......gather 5 minutes of happiness every day and you could see how Mr.Gu was taking those small steps to improve and at the end he ditched the alcohol bottle and wanted to take one step at a time which shows that they will be together in future.....the writer dropped hints for us to assume however we would like their relationship to be in future.
Incase of Ki jeong, I think she chose to keep going with her relationship with Tae Hoon and who knows they might break up in future. Her story seemed a little dissatisfying because she still seemed confused.
Incase of Chang Hee, he chose to love himself the way he is and do whatever makes him happy even if he doesnt earn that much. That was his liberation.
All in all its one of a kind kdrama where realism was at its best even until the last episode. All were flawed yet wise even till the end realising their trueself and accepting it one step at a time.
Nothing to look forward to this weekend.
Both the interpretations are just WOW!!
