is it just a soft reboot of the first season? Felt like it was starting over from scratch.
I wouldnt even refer to it as a reboot. Its a different story w/ diffrent characters altogether that follow the same trope as the 1st w/ the same cast

Title Fate Chooses You Spoiler
Just finished episode 23, and this episode seems to reveal quite a few things mostly revolving around A Sheng.
1. A Sheng stated Xia Xianzi only had boys and claimed to be a servant/slave. But I think she may have somehow been a mistake child of Xia's and maybe even she herself doesn't know. After all, its odd that she was the only girl that was kept there. Perhaps she was treated the worst because she was a mistake/girl.
2. Prophecy states that one of Xia's descendants will become a deity and another of the prophecied that someone that born on September 9th or something will become the world's savior. So far we know of 4 characters who were born on this day, The FL, her senior brother, A Sheng, and Jin Lun. Most may assume that this savior will be the FL eventually because she is the FL, but there are hints that this 'savior' might just end up being A Sheng though she keeps claiming it as an impossibility. I think this is a misdirect. Not only might she be the savior, she may also be the Xia descendant who ascends and becomes a deity.

Title If Wishes Could Kill Spoiler
Done watchingI liked itEven if I was spoiled because it is on my feed it didn't make me prevent from watchingThis…
I don't think she was cursed by someone else. Its a common trope that those who are spiritually attune more easily attract spirits. So by 'curse' it may just mean something akin to 'yin qi' or the like or like a minor evil spirit without form. So perhaps an evil spirit/curse latched onto her. After all, Kwon Si Won's mother implied that Hae Ryung was 'gifted'. Because of this, she was able to use said gift to begin the curse. Her eye probably healed because the shaman mom either broke the curse by connecting it to the doll and then killing it through said doll. Hae Ryung simply used what she was taught to create the curse out of impulse and Si Won continued it out of spite.

About Li Jie:The time travel loop is the last 50 years to erase Lu Wuyi, so only she doesn't exist. If she didn't…
That actually makes sense now that you mention it. I hadn't thought of that.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
I’m still confused. When JY was defeated, WSG decided to break the ice on the tree where WWY was trapped inside.…
Reality was rewritten the moment Ji Ling reopened the rift to return. But it can be assumed that he never makes it back to the original reality as everyone has forgotten him. As stated by master star stone, if he fails to return, he will be erased from existence. So presumably in the new reality he never existed. The only one who remembers him and the original timeline is Wu Shiguang and the oracle stone because they are cosmic beings/objects.

Even the 2 we see at the end don't seem to be our Ji Ling and Li Wuyi. As for what happened to Ji Ling and Li Wuyi we may never know. But since the multiverse seems to have opened according to the final scene, at least in 1 reality they get their happy ending.

Yes, they went to a different world/universe, with no magic/demons. just humans. but they're still fated, so of…
I'm not sure if those 2 are even them tbh. I can still believe if you say that they are different reality versions of them where they are mortals, but I also think that its more likely that Ji Ling and Li Wuyi never make it back and we simply will never find out what really happened to them.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
Just finished the last episode and the last scene is confusing to me. I initially thought that the 2 characters we see would've been the original Ji Ling and Lu Wuyi living out their lives in peace among mortals after successfully escaping and returning from the spacetime crack, but those 2 were clearly not them since they were strangers to each other. Plus considering the fact that everyone has forgotten not only Lu Wuyi but also Ji Ling, it implies that they failed to escape back to their reality and thus they were erased from reality. After all, the timeline only changed after Ji Ling reopened the wormhole to return back. So I guess the 2 at the end are new mortal incarnations that the current reality birthed that basically have nothing to do with the originals. After all the oracle stone clearly seems to also know the changes in reality so I guess its kind of a multiversal object of sorts just as Wu Shiguang is since only he seems to remember the original timeline probably because both are essentially cosmic entities of sorts.

One thing that seemed questionable to me though is the existence of Li Jie in the new reality. After all, he was birthed from Yuan Wuhuo's obsessions regarding Ji Ling. But if Ji Ling never existed in the new reality, then what became the new obsession in this new reality that birthed him? After all, it can be assumed that Jiu Ying was pretty much defeated 50 years earlier in the new timeline. At least his main vessel was. The other tiny fragments I suppose were gradually defeated over time until Wu Shiguang became the new Dragon God in this new reality.

There are quite a few plotholes honestly. Unless Ji Ling never really got erased from reality but I guess people just forgot about him? After all, there had to have been someone aside from Chi Wen that was acting as Dragon God at the time before Wu Shi Guang's appearance. The time travel aspect of this drama was never really fleshed out that well tbh. But either way, was a good watch.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
This was my take away from Jie Lie story in episode 15.In Li Jie's story, we learn that Ji Ling is basically Yuan…
Your point about Chi Wen bringing someone back to life and a deal being made got me thinking.
The version of Chi Wen we see granting Dragon Deity power to the other demons in the past is clearly a different figure. That begs the question of why did he change faces in present time? Perhaps you may be right. The body that he is currently using is not his actual body but that of the actual Yuan Xizai. We never actually see what Yuan Xizai looks like from that flashback of Yuan Wu Huo feeding him dragon marrow. If this is true, then perhaps the Chi Wen of present day is actually using his body as a vessel of sorts with his real body elsewhere. And he would be a perfect vessel for a dragon deity if his body was altered after consuming the dragon marrow.
Since Chi Wen has the ability to create and alter memories for his wooden puppets, who is to say that he can't do the same with a flesh body puppet? This puppet vessel would be more powerful than a wooden puppet because he can actually channel his power through it because it was transformed by dragon marrow.

The only questionable thing would be why there are 2 versions of Yuan Wu Hao then. Assuming that Li Jie is actually Yuan Wu Hao. After killing Li Jie in the illusion realm it did seem that Demon Wu Hao became a bit emotional.

If a deal was indeed made between old man Yuan Wu Hao and Chi Wen in the past, then I can only assume that it went something like this:
1. Yuan Wu Hao works for Chi Wen in order to revive his brother, so a deal is made. However, this deal only takes affect during Yuan Wu Hao's mortal death.

2. If Chi Wen has control over life and death with most of his power retained during this period, then perhaps he can reform ones body in death and can manipulate their soul upon their death too. Thus, when Yuan Wu Hao dies, Chi Wen transfers Yuan Xizai's soul which he was probably holding onto for some time with some method into a younger Yuan Wu Hao's body. And since Jiu Ying has spies everywhere, perhaps he got a hold of Yuan Wu Hao's soul and somehow made him into the current butterfly demon.

Theres still too much unknowns but this is one outlandish theory I can come up with with all that we have so far. A lot of assumptions about their abilities here too. But we will have to wait and see to truly know what the fck is going on.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
I wonder if its just me who noticed that when Li Jie turned around during the star stone's explosion, his face became that of Chiwen/Ji Ling for a moment. The frame even seemed to focus onto his face. That makes me wonder if Chiwen is also a puppet of Chiwen's that he created in the past and implanted different memories from Ji Ling. The only issue I see with this theory is that Li Jie seems to actually bleed and its odd that Chi Wen would create 2 faces of false identities on 1 puppet.
If he wasn't a wooden puppet but was instead transformed from an actual person, it still begs the question of why Chi Wen would give him his own face and then change his face to that of Yuan Wu Huo.
Also what then is the connection between the past Yuan Wu Huo who grew old in Shilin Sect, The demon Yuan Wu Huo, and Li Jie then?

Another question waiting to be answered is what happened to the twin butterfly demons of the past? Why is the butterfly demon now Yuan Wu Huo?

Also from the looks of it, Wu Wang Yan seems to have known that Jiu Ying is controlling the Formless Moon Sect from her statements and reaction to when Wu Shi Guang realized that the her attacking them was actually Jiu Ying. Perhaps thats why she had sided with Chi Wen. Perhaps she has had suspicions about the Nuwa Queen or maybe she didn't know the entirety and simply suspected that her sect had been infiltrated.

Is the FL actually the daughter of the Qingque sect leader and her 4th aunt? Im just assuming after watching episode 1 and part of episode 2. The way she was practically raised by her 4th aunt until her death and how she basically hoped for her to goto Qingque sect to study and how the sect leader seems to have a care for her seems to me as though she could be their illegitimate daughter. Which could make sense considering how free spirited the aunt was and the sect leaders personality does not seem to fit well with his wife and daughters. Could be a situation of arranged marriage w/o actual love between them. He prob had feelings for the FL's 4th aunt which may have resulted in her illegitimate birth.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
Yong Er seems to be awakened in the novel.. She is still 2D and not a transmigrator which is why she doesn’t…
All 3 of them are transmigrators. They just either transmigrated from different periods within the real world into different versions of the same story or they are all from different modern realities transmigrating into different versions of the same story. Thus why 3 different names of the same novel each character has read has popped up. It simply depends on who transmigrated first into the novel world altering events thus changing the novel timeline and title that the next transmigrator eventually reads and gets drawn into the novel world. From this estimation it can be inferred that Xiahou Dan is in fact the last one of the 3 to actually transmigrate despite transmigrating as a teen years before we get up to current events where the FL has transmigrated.
Basically out of all 3 transmigrator characters in terms of how "2D" each one is, 1st would be the 2nd FL then the FL and only then the ML since the version he read was most likely the version in which the FL had transmigrated into a novel world before he did.
However at the same time it would also seem like he read the least of the novel and so also knows the least about future events. Ironically the only one who seems to have read the most of the novel is the 2nd FL which is why she seems to know the most with the FL coming 2nd. But all of this knowledge is offset by the fact that the 2nd FL only has knowledge from the unaltered timeline events whereas the FL has knowledge of events altered by the 2nd FL. But even her knowledge is obscured to some extent due to the fact that she doesn't know that the version knowledge she has is still on version 2 of the story from 2nd female leads transmigration which would have placed her transmigration version on version 3. However, due to Xiahou Dan's transmigration we are on version 4 of the story since the version of the story he read was version 3 with the FL's transmigration in it. He simply transmigrated into earlier in the story of version 3 thus creating version 4, our current timeline.

Yes there are 3 transmigrators. Xiahou Bo is simply a very observant character who notices small details and thus he infers that the other 3 have knowledge of future events or even suspects their real identities.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
So after episode 9 I am more confident on my theory that this is a Multi-layered transmigration story but where I was wrong was that the ML was in fact the last to transmigrate in the Real World timeline. Or perhaps they come from different versions of the Real World.
Heres what I think happened:
1. Original story w/o any transmigrators where the WCR FL is the FL and 2nd ML is the ML exists as is.

2. 2nd FL transmigrates into original version of story altering the storyline and replacing WCR FL as FL creating version 2 of the storyline.

3. WCR FL transmigrates into version 2 of the story and becomes the FL once again but we don't see the events that happen here but considering the title of the novel that the ML remembers as a teen "The Devil's Beloved Consort", we can assume that by the end of the this timeline they both survive creating version 3 of the story.

4. ML transmigrates into version 3 of the story but further down in the timeline creating version 4 of the story where the current events are taking place.

From my understanding (and I could be wrong), it seems to me like there are 3 versions of the same novel depending…
Honestly I haven't watched that episode yet so I can't judge. I don't think the 2nd ML is a transmigrator but he seems to know more than he lets on. I think he suspects that the others aren't who they present themselves as. If the 2nd ML is observant enough like the FL he may have noticed changes in the ML from when he first transmigrated and probably throughout time he figured out a thing or two.
When he first confronted the FL it already came off to me as though he suspected that she wasn't the original person that he knew and seemed to question whether she was someone else entirely.
So I wouldn't be surprised if the 2nd ML has some ideas about the ML and FL being transmigrators or at least not whom they claim/present themselves as.

Why would xie yong er say she doesnt to get killed like in novel ? Isnt she supposed to be FL in original novel…
My assumption is that in the novel version that 2nd FL reads aka alteration #1, her character was originally the villain who gets killed by the FL's character but she changes the events w/ her transmigration and thus becomes the FL in that version. This version of the story is the version that the Wang Chu Ran's character reads and eventually transmigrates into. This is also a version in which the FL's character originally dies as a villain due to the 2nd FL's (aka the FL in this version of the novel) actions.

Why would xie yong er say she doesnt to get killed like in novel ? Isnt she supposed to be FL in original novel…
There are likely 4 versions of the story w/ 3 alterations. 1 "original" timeline which the ML transmigrates to first creating a new timeline aka alteration #1. The 2nd FL probably transmigrated into the altered timeline in which it was never revealed that the ML was a transmigrator thus she never finds out or realizes it, creating alteration #2. The FL reads a version of the story in which the 2nd FL had already transmigrated to and FL transmigrates into that story, creating alteration #3 in which the FL is quickwitted enough to very quickly realize that the other 2 are transmigrators.

Title How Dare You!? Spoiler
wait, so is this drama about the main leads from the real world transmigrating as side characters into a real…
I think its more of a case of a 3 layered transmigration story. The only one who truly transmigrated into the "original" novel was the MC whom had probably transmigrated much earlier than he lets on thus why he is able to "play" his role so well. Thats cuz he hasn't really been "playing" the role but how he had been ever since his transmigration thus the FL and 2nd FL after reading the novel only knows him as such and the 2nd FL never suspects anything.
The 2nd FL I think was the 2nd transmigrator whom transmigrated to the altered storyline/timeline in which the ML has already been around for some time and the novel version that she knows is one where the ML has existed in until his death and thus she has certain expectations for the events to come that may differ from what the FL knows not only because the FL hadn't read everything in its entirety but also because the FL read a different version in which the 2nd FL had already transmigrated and how her actions affected the storyline from the 1st altered version creating alteration #2. We are now in a 3rd altered storyline w/ the FL's transmigration.
