I;m so curious about the origin of the powers ,are they just born with them or are they government made. Obviously…
Has to be government made. There's a whole generation of "1st gens" who are now retired. And as far as we know the only people with superpowers are either the American Alphabet Assassins, the "retirees", or the children at a "specific school" that are children of said "retirees" along with ex students and teachers of said "school". This implies that the whole "1st gen" were created as part of some project between Korea and America. They were created to undergo some sort of mission and then retired afterwards.
Perhaps the process of creating them is too complicated or they lost they lost it. Either way, they are breeding the next generation pretty much from young this time around. This also makes them easier to mold and probably easier for them to retain them under their control, unlike the "1st gen" who probably most had retired. Its also probably easier and safer to just take the children of the 1st gen as most likely it the process of creating the "1st gen" had accidents as most human experiments do. So
hopefully no woke garbage in this so I could give it a try when it comes out
I think this is the first time I've seen someone in a rather "Asian" platform talk about wokeness. I haven't rlly found much "woke" Korean content since I don't watch everything under the sun. I do see a lot more Lesbian/Gay content coming out but Idk if thats necessarily woke. At most its geared towards a specific audience. But I've never watched those so I can't really judge. If its just stuff like that then I wouldn't really call it woke and I would probably also differentiate LGB w/ the LGBTQ+ Group since one is a sexual preference and the other is more of an ideological group nowadays.
I really missed DFS with the team in ep 15&16. Poor FDB arrest like a criminal by his aunty and LLH breaking his…
He prob has less than 10% by now. The more he uses it, the less protection he has against the poison and the faster it spreads. He is essentially using his remaining lifespan each time he uses his qi and I'm sure he uses up even more in a fight.
I mean even if he does, he won't really 'heal'. Its only a temporary method that will quicken his death in reality. All it does is to bring him back to his prime so that he can have 1 more fight before he dies not from the Bicha poison but from the so called 'treatment'. So there are really only 3 ways this can logically end: 1. LLH ends up going mentally insane and then eventually die in a few months (Probably earlier since he has used up a lot of his remaining qi by now) but he successfully trains up FDB to take his place to have a match w/ DFS somehow (Maybe he's a Hidden Super Genius?)
2. Their new Miracle Doctor friend(s) somehow find a way to actually cure him somewhere down the line (Though I am doubting this).
3. LLH takes up DFS's 'help' and does end up having that final battle at the end and passes away not long after.
So many revelations happened in today episodes. Now FDB know about A-fei being DFS. We also know this girl obsessed…
It also seems that 10 years ago the Saintess made an alliance w/ ppl who are probably behind the Di clan without DFS knowing. We can imagine how thats gonna turn out. It seems likely that the ultimate villains behind the scenes will end up being the Imperial Court along w/ the Di Clan. I also think that the Di Clan is probably under the Imperial Court secretly. Probably to do their dirty work since they're an assassin organization it seems.
I don't know how to feel about the 'letting go' message though. LLH is having depression, I think. 'Letting go'…
I wouldn't really say that he has depression. Rather he still has some obsessions in life that he has yet to let go. At first he probably felt hurt, somewhat betrayed, and probably even guilty. However, as he himself said, "time heals all wounds". It's already been 10 years (Enough time for some self-discovery) and he has less than a year left to live. He probably understands that there is likely no more cure for himself and has accepted that. All he wants is to fulfill his last task in mind (finding his senior brother's body) and finally let go of his past. His journey will likely include him mending his past relationships and then letting go of them properly (Basically saying a proper farewell). Once he fulfills these final regrets and lets go of all worries, he can finally ease his mind and really encompass the saying to "Rest in Peace".
So this definitely seems to be hinting at a relatively sad or bittersweet ending (depending on how you look at it). I think that its unlikely that Li Lianhua is going to survive, though I doubt that they will show his death at the end. My guess is that it will probably end with Fang Duobing travelling with him as his disciple and basically taking care of him until his end. What I think the story is 'teaching' is more than just brotherhood and friendship but also about letting go. At least thats the feeling I get from this. It seems to all lead up to the idea of letting go of obsessions whether that be Li Lianhua or maybe even Di Feisheng. Li Lianhua is but the focal point that will influence those around him to basically mature and also learn to let go.
i think when the first murder happened ML's dad was still in the US
Can we really confirm that though? For all we know he could have come back much earlier and just went into hiding for some time. Its not like any of the characters are actively investigating his whereabouts during that time.
Although the Ko Mi Sook point is still a mystery and I am doubtful that she is the MC's mother. She is almost definitely related in some way or another to the murderer though, either a relative or a witness, or maybe she just somehow ended up picking up the killers journal at some point or something. If she did pick up a journal, then we should probably pay attention to characters that have a habit of keeping journals or at least someone who might appear very organized.
I am really leaning towards the MC's dad being the killer. In fact he is also likely the creator of the time machine too. From what we know so far we can assume that there is a massive paradox happening if we were to go with this theory although there is still a massive hole in the theory that I am still unable to answer.
1. MC's Old father successfully creates the time machine in another timeline (We might as well also assume that the time machine is not affected by the timeline changes). ---> Why does he create the time machine? Paradox: He saw it in his past because the MC introduced it to him in the past for him to fix.
2. MC discovers the time machine ---> Why was the Time Machine found where it was? IDK Not enough Info.
3. MC discovers his death and decides to go back in time to stop the murders by finding out who the killer is and stopping him in his tracks.
4. MC gets into an accident with FL and needs to get his car fixed.
5. MC's Young Dad is recruited to fix the Time Machine Car and eventually finds out some of its secrets.
6. While in his car chatting with his Young Dad, MC realizes that he is the killer. ---> MC probably decides to look for his smart dad for advice on the murders. ---> At this point car is likely already fixed.
7. The 2 get into a conflict while the car is moving and accidentally start up the time machine and travel into the future where MC is eventually killed by the Young Dad. ---> At this point the time machine is already in the Dads.
8. Young dad eventually travels back to his own time and either for reasons unknown the car eventually ends up with the MC where he first found it or somewhere down the line, the car is totalled and time travel is no longer possible (Maybe it wasn't fixed entirely and stopped working after he went back to his time).
9. Time passes, Killer becomes a dad and becomes old man, eventually finds out that the one he killed was his own son and either tries to make or fix the time machine, creating a loop paradox involving several timelines. ---> He likely finds out when news of the MC's death appears on the news in the future and that probably triggers his memories of killing his son.
Was it shown that ML relation with grandfather is strained in future? I can't recall it .
This is what it says: "Hae Jun, a man with a cynical demeanor, works as an anchor at a news station. His unique personality can be attributed to his mother's abandonment when he was young and his grandfather's constant criticism, considering him the only flaw in their otherwise flawless family. Despite his grandfather's ignorance, Hae Jun rises to success in his career as a righteous reporter. However, his world is turned upside down when he unexpectedly comes across a time machine, something he never thought could exist. Yoon Young leads an ordinary life as an editor at a publishing company until she discovers her mother's lifeless body by a riverside. One day, her life takes a drastic turn when she gets struck by an invisible car near the same riverside and wakes up in the year 1987. The two gradually come to understand that the recurrent coincidences between them carry a deeper significance beyond mere chance."

I can't really point to a specific scene and I'm not really one to rewatch things either. The reason I said that their relationship seemed strained is because of the ML's mannerisms toward the grandfather throughout the series. https://www.kocowa.com/en_us/season/76561204/my-perfect-stranger If you read the Details section here, it also pretty much sums up their relationship in the first half of the paragraph.
Ok. So the ML's grandfather seems to be part of a group of 'Protestors' which although the corrupt cops are referring to them as "commies", I'm pretty sure are just Human Rights Activists or something.
ML's mother might be the teashop owner, but I think she is more than meets the eye. She might also be part of the group but for some reason has no other choice but to flee and the grandfather hides the real reason from ML, which might also be a catalyst to their strained relationship.
I still doubt that Mi Sook is the killer, but she is more than likely related to the killer. We know its not her brother and the 3rd victim being the 'Bully Girl' kind of throws my previous theory that the killer is choosing "women who read" as victims off somewhat. But the message "Women who read are dangerous" is definitely some sort of red herring.
and why didn't baek hee seop tell his uncle about that blood ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ it really sucks.
Well he did actually say that he didn't kill anyone. The problem is that he couldn't explain himself after, otherwise like I said all he would be doing would be outing his brother. And as you can see, being a 'communist' sympathizer at the time seemed to be a worse situation than being a murderer. Being a murderer, all that might happen is getting arrested, but as you saw, being a commie meant torture and maybe even privately sanctioned execution considering how seriously wounded the brother was and how brutally beaten Hee Seop was.
It was an important ep tho.It was necessary for FL to learn why her father changed from a cheerful guy to a neglectful…
I'm surprised by how little people don't understand how trauma works. Its very rare for people with PTSD to be proactive in telling people about their experience. Most stories we hear about their trauma is usually from a second source.
The message that the serial killer leaves suggests that the killer may be someone who dislikes women who read books. If we use the first victim as any indication, I think it probably has something to do with the killer's mother being influenced by books and perhaps becoming a protestor or something and probably leading to their family breaking apart. And from there, maybe the killer developed a hatred of women who read, kind of like an extreme Anti-Feminist I guess. The 2nd victim only died After she received a book from the FL mother.
So far, all of the victims have been women who read.
The only break from that modus operandi is the ML's death some time in the future, which I think is likely due to his actions in the past creating another time traveler that eventually kills him in the future, which weirdly enough is also the catalyst that sends him to the past to correct the 'wrongs' and saving himself.
