[Edited to correct based on what Dana7 has said] She told him that (bit about being a passerby) *because* she's…
Yes, I guess, if we disregard the source material altogether, she's a stoic chief of a clan, harbouring some deep-seated guilt/grief. The guilt is irrelevant to her decision about sacrificing the love seed, but it does build up her character as one who doesn't speak much or be too emotional. It's only around DFYC that she even smiles a little.
She told him he was a passerby because she wanted him to forget about her since she made the decision to give…
It's not a dark ending, and I haven't read to the end of the manhua. I did read the parts that were supposed to be about THH (but maybe I missed something).
Also, they haven't mentioned that it's completed (though maybe someone just forgot to click a button :D ) If it actually isn't completed, then I don't know if the drama is at liberty to do whatever it wants to the story
OHOOO NEW INTRO SONG 🔥🔥🔥 like, it's good GOOD? 🔥
I didn't know a drama changed its intro song throught its run. I wonder if the songs themselves have any significance to the story, like maybe a new song is used to denote a new "chapter" in the story. They aren't subbed, so I have no clue.

I guess different folks see things differently :) The concern in her eyes when he was injured, the way she looks at him, all speak volumes (to me anyway)
Also, I am not expecting too much by way of words from her, because that's not how the character is written.
She told him he was a passerby because she wanted him to forget about her since she made the decision to give…
Ok, you answered my question there :D
DFYC and THH probably do get together at some point based on what Gong Jun said in one of those press roadshows, but we don't know how long-lasting it'll be, given it doesn't end satisfactorily (for my liking) in the manhua. The drama has tried to be faithful to key aspects while changing smaller things around, so the ending might be the same as the comic (which is actually only the end of a flashback)

And again, with the wedding, I thought she asks him first about whether he loves Bu Tai, and she says she won't allow it, before he asks about her feelings?

I didn't mean the wedding scene. It was before, in a happy scene. He says "let's see mountains and seas and all sorts of things together" (I don't remember exactly what he wanted to see. She says "you've been saying this since you were young, aren't you tired of it?" and he replies that when he said it as a youth, it was to escape being eaten by the foxes :D
She told him he was a passerby because she wanted him to forget about her since she made the decision to give…
The source material is even more confusing 😅
I thought you had watched, based on your original comment! But I'm hoping you don't mind spoilers since all my responses were based on the assumption that you'd watched today's eps.
She told him he was a passerby because she wanted him to forget about her since she made the decision to give…
But she also tells him off in an earlier ep (maybe ep11?) for sacrificing part of his lifespan for DFL's soul. In that moment itself, he should have realized that she cared more about him (DFYC).

I don't know what he could do, but then, I couldn't have predicted that he'd do the things he already did either. If there's a way to sacrifice himself, he probably will do it.
She's still the leader of her clan. She's making the decision for the future of her clan and for all the other innocent spirits and humans.
Also, in her view, he may forget about her after a while and love again. I don't think it helped that he told her in an earlier episode (ep 9 or 10?) that he had given her the spiel about seeing the world together when he was younger just as a means of self-preservation. It might have given the idea that he could be honey-lipped when he needed to be, but without much sincerity behind it (especially since he also lied to her in the first few eps in a similar vein - to get what he wanted).
I'm not actually saying she doubts his sincerity, but when he said that in Ep9 or 10, I was facepalming thinking "dude, why say that?"
She told him he was a passerby because she wanted him to forget about her since she made the decision to give…
I don't know if the process also makes her incapable of love... I thought Rongrong said that wasn't the case, but I also thought next week's preview said it was. Really not sure.
Re: her showing that she cares - it's much the same as him, except she doesn't say the words out loud, and isn't wildly enthusiastic. They both show their affection through mutual trust, and by taking care of each other. He risks his life to enter her nightmare, she risks hers by giving up her spirit bone. She impacts her health with that Snow thingy to save him, he houses DFL's soul for her. He makes her that craft thingy, she sends him candy via turtle messenger :D

She has also risked her life repeatedly for him though, so I wouldn't make it about owing.
She *could* tell him, but his method of dealing with things like this is to sacrifice himself somehow. He's already done that with DFL's soul (first housing it, then giving it ten years of his vitality), so she probably wouldn't want him to do something equally rash again
Tbh, I wouldn't pay much attention to ratings and indexes. I read that some dramas that had similar problems when they were released later went on to make the network a lot of money.
She told him he was a passerby because she wanted him to forget about her since she made the decision to give…
I was surprised that RongRong didn't set him on the right track about this. She explains the situation to him, but when he says he'll ease THH's burden so she can choose between the two, couldn't RongRong have told him that it isn't a matter of choosing becauseTHH's decision has absolutely nothing to do with DFL?
Also, they haven't mentioned that it's completed (though maybe someone just forgot to click a button :D )
