Does anyone know what the emoji for Sunday's episode means? (it's not really an emoji, but I can't figure out what it is) https://kisskh.at/photos/Z8Bm21_3
Completed till episode 14 and my thoughts:I waited almost a year for this Drama and honestly, it's disappointing.…
No bashing honest and constructive opinions :)
It's true that there's a lot of set up and back-and-forth between good guys and villains in the first 7-8 episodes, and I think there were some episodes with a lot going on, whereas others didn't move the plot forward very much. I think general consensus here has been that things picked up after Ep11.
The main romance is not explosive (and it's not supposed to be). It's a slow build-up and I at any rate have found it sweet and engaging.
They've tried to be fairly true to the manhua, which could be problematic in two ways: People who are familiar with the manhua will be disappointed at any differences, and people who *aren't* familiar with it will be puzzled about why certain things are the way they are (particularly the apparent emotionlessness of Honghong).
I'm not saying this is a stellar show with no problems. It has flaws, but is still an enjoyable watch. I wasn't aware of the hype surrounding the show before it began though, so maybe that's why I'm able to enjoy it (as I had no expectations of it).
Logically they should be two separate events. First one is in the spirit market if I remember correctly and second…
I think maybe we interpret it as: she gave him the mask quite casually in Ep3 (because she just says "do you like this mask too?" and hands it over), but he fell for her at that moment. Later, the mask becomes significant to their relationship.
The original story (at least the manhua) doesn't have this mask at all, as far as I can remember. If you mean the drama script may have been different, that is always possible.
I thought Ep14 was sweet with what it had. The only thing I found weird was that they leave the rouge shop in the morning/afternoon, but are only shown wandering around the market at night. Where did they go in the meantime? This might mean that the whole market scene was intended to take place in Ep3, but that's way too soon for her to be quite so sweet with him.
I think they would have wanted him to realize his feelings early on and for her to only realize hers later, so they split the scene. Maybe. Who knows 😅

I don't think they view killing Tiger and Crane as murder. More like avenging the death of his parents. It would probably be almost celebratory (which sounds barbaric, I know)

The events are separate in time. I think the original question was "why were they separate in time? why did they even bother to visit the human market after Yuechu kills Tiger and Crane?"

Ep3 was also in human market and the outfits were the same or very similar. I'm assuming it was just for her to give him that fox mask, which then changes hands between the two of them as events unfold later...

I think it was solely for the exchange of that fox mask, which appears in later episodes. That mask sort of follows their relationship, so it has to be exchanged early on, I guess.
Also rewatching Ep1 - I missed the part about Grief Tree containing the energy of both heaven and earth. It makes more sense now why THH is so obsessed with its protection
Are there any native/bilingual Mandarin speakers here who can let us know if the name for the tree is actually "Grief Tree"? It seems like such an odd name for something that's focused on love, and I'm wondering if something was lost in translation

(though, of course, individual tastes will differ)

In any case, hopefully you like it more soon :)

I need to re-read my comments for clarity :D
