Yes. I loved this series but really different to the anime and if you're a fan of the anime it will be difficult for you to like this version. Although this alternate version focuses more on friendship and more emotional elements which I really enjoyed BUT I loooooveeeddd the badass Tang San in the donghua. Also, the donghua has a long way to go. It's really good and it's fun to watch Tang San being so powerful and smart. One episode a week suckd

And adding to that, I should've been clearer - the drama doesn't in itself suck but seeing such a powerful character diluted does suck and it's a turn off. Xiao Zhan does make up for it. I hope season 2 comes

I mean it is natural but to compare. It does suck in comparison to what I saw the story in the donghua and the novel. Tang San is just too weak here. I also said, this on its own, is a very good series

I loved it when I watched it first. Then I watched Soul Land lol twice and not reading the novel. This solely is a good series but if compared to the novel and donghua, it bloody sucks.
