Well, a lot of times (a lot) men objectifying women turn violent and very harmful so therefore I think it's more called out and is an issue. I do find it uncomfortable if it's pushed too far. It did. But nothing had reached a level of influence that TU had. I was studying in China and it was crazy. Addicted was a completely different genre which they couldn't give continuity to but the sort of attention they got because of the controversy also helped their careers. Guardian was more bromance than the Untamed and wasn't as compelling. It didn't do justice to the book at all

It's super long and boils my blood. Read about Xiao Zhan A03 scandal. It also affected Wang Yibo and the relationship between Wang Yibo and Zhan They don't interact publicly now. The censorship was no problem for TU since the loveeee was oozing out despite the restrictions. It's the same writer and director and now that have have made so much money. I think the most successful series in the last two years. So I know the budget is $$$$$$$

Please do not compare TU to WoH. These are completely two different series. TU will always be the classic where this entire world began in China where people finally saw how big these "bromance" series can get. Xiao Zhan wasn't a big star so stop calling him just a pretty faced idol. How one series shot him to become literally the biggest star of China currently is evidence of how big TU bececame. When I visited Beijing, people would just line up for just to take a photo with an advertisement of TU. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are colossals, they had to pay the price as well, one of biggest controversies ever in the Chinese entertainment industry. I really hope no one has to go through that again. TU isn't just a series for us fans, it's literally an emotion. It will always remain a timeless classic. Also, By the looks of it Heavens Official Blessing is going to be the biggest thing ever.
