I don't understand what the controversy has to do with the drama. I get that it's about the main actress. But…
OMG thank you for your informative and respectful comment. I love how you say that "everyone is entiled to their own opinions". I agree! There are many k-drama watchers who blend the kdrama life and actors together just because. Those kinds of people (including myself) find it hard to watch a k-drama, when the actual actors have something going on in their lives. It's simply just how I view things lol.
Yes, I agree with your last paragpraph and how you spoke about the charcter of Moon Young. Her overall charcter confused me and because of that, the k-drama was harder for me to understand.
Finally, I just want to thank you again! For some (like us), there are SOME instances where we cannot just seperate the art from the artist... and that's perfectly ok. Thank you so much for seeing my side and for backing up my reasonings. >.<
I don't understand what the controversy has to do with the drama. I get that it's about the main actress. But…
1. You agree that people can watch things the way they want? Then why did you originally state "But so what, a show is only for show". Explain that. Anyways, I've already said that I have the right to watch however I want.
2. -You were dumb enough to say "Ko Moon Young has nothing to do with the controversy". Um no one is outright comparing the character to a controversy. And if people want to do that, then that's their right. I even had to explain to you, that I was alluding to Actor Yeji and her controversy. -You also mention " It's not like her character and her are the same person". OMG are you that dense? I never used any specific words to compare Moon Young and Actor Ye Ji. Also, like I said, if people want to compare them, then they have every right to do so. It is us who are enjoying and watching the show anyways.
3. You are on MY comment saying "People are entitled to their own opinions". Like huh? You don't even understand how annoying and judgemental your replies come off. I keep having to repeat myself to you and replying with proof. (Anyways, understand that you have no right to tell me how I should feel about k-dramas and the actors!)
------------------- *Please stop justifying your arguments, cause with this back and forth, I just won't agree with you. I have explained myself enough. I end this by saying: no more arguing, get off my cooment, and leave*
I don't understand what the controversy has to do with the drama. I get that it's about the main actress. But…
1. ummm.... I am the one watching it, me, myself and I. A show might be a show to you, but for me, it's different and doesn't always take from reality. People view things differently. Also, you have no right to question me and riducle me for the way I choose to watch k-dramas. Respectfully, I tell you to shut up.
2. And with Actor Ye Ji and her controversy, I was talking about her and Actor Jung hyun's scandal. You must be under a rock if you don't know about that. *P.S.* I never said anything mean/degrading about Actor Ye ji since, I don't want to feed in to the hate upon her. I will tell you respectufully again, to shut up.
I only watched up to episode 3 so far but i'm gonna have to drop it.
Although, it's genuinely funny, there's just so much controversy about the historical aspects and also controversy about Actor Jung Hyun. I'll probably watch it again in the future.
I'm still on episode 4 but I'm gonna have to drop this drama.
First because I don't really care for Gang tae and Moon young's back and forth relationship/crush (?). Second, because of all this controversy with the Actor Ye Ji.
I only watched the first 2 episodes and I just have to drop it. Maybe this style of drama is not for me. It feels very tv reality show. Also, the acting and chemistry was just so off for me
I'm on episode 3 and it's getting too.... idk boring. There are so many unnecessary slow scenes. Also, does anyone else notice the weird lighting?? All the scenes are so white and bright lol
I am still confused, why kbs not promote this drama so much? No poster, no trailer. C mon, I really want support…
You are right. KBS is highly promoting another drama called "Youth of May" which is broadcasting around the same week as "Imitation". They have posters and trailers but Imitation doesn't.
Although Imitation doesn't have those things yet, they are being promoted like how real kpop groups debut. The groups Shax, Sparking and Teaparty have official social media accounts and post a lot of content there.

Anyways... in the 3rd episode, ATEEZ deserved 1st place!
Kakaopage released the individual poster pics on twitter!!
From the acting to the storyline, everything was so slow and boring...
