Dammit, this is not available in my region. Is there any other places to see it?
'Imitation' on Viki. It helps with ratings and is safer than sites like dramacool, kissasian and watchasian. If it's unavailable, then download a vpn (such as 'Veilduck' or 'Pandavpn'). Viki Link: https://www.viki.com/tv/37774c-imitation
'Imitation' on iQIYI. iQIYI also helps with ratings! However, it's only available in East Asian countries. Check the iQ website from your OWN country. If it's not available, download a vpn (such as 'Veilduck' or 'Pandavpn'). iQIYI Link: https://www.iq.com/play/13mbmtfdx5h?&lang=en_us&sh_pltf=4
does anyone know where i can watch it? its not available in my region (iqiyi) and for some reason the episode…
The best thing to do is just wait. It won't take long to upload on viki. 'Imitation' on Viki. It helps with ratings and is safer than sites like dramacool, kissasian and watchasian. Also, if it's unavailable for some reason, then download a vpn (such as 'Veilduck' or 'Pandavpn'). Viki Link: https://www.viki.com/tv/37774c-imitation

It depends on where you are watching. If watching live on KBS2TV, then no English subs. As it is a Korean broadcasting…
The thing is that iqiyi is not available in everyone's region. As far as I know, it's mainly available in Asian countries. But you are right about iqiyi sometimes posting earlier subs
Shax is not a real group. But the actors of Shax were going to perform on a real music show. Shax can't perform because Jongho (Hyuk) and Hwiyoung (Leehyun) were in contact of someone who had covid.
On netflix it's converted as 20 episodes (each 1 hour long) and I'm 9 episodes in, half way done. So far, it's…
omgg no. Prince Yi Jin is one of the sweetest and nicest guy in that show. And yes there's a love relationship going on between them. Starting from episode 12 is where we really see them connect
It depends on where you are watching. If watching live on KBS2TV, then no English subs. As it is a Korean broadcasting…
12 hours max is not for every drama on viki. 1-3 days is just an estimate. I've watched dramas on there that have taken long to sub before. Every drama subbed time will be different.
After the 1st broadcast, we can fully know the right time it will take. It's not bad to assume 1-3 days.
will there be english subs when it airs or we still have to wait ?
It depends on where you are watching. If watching live on KBS2TV, then no English subs. As it is a Korean broadcasting tv channel. If watching on Viki, then english subs come after 1-3 days. If watching on iQIYI, then english subs come after 1-3 days.
(p.s. I REALLY suggest not streaming the drama on sites like kissasian or dramacool. It would be great if you at least watched on official sites initially to boost ratings)
Let's celebrate their 6th anniversary by streaming their song! Junyoung (KwonRyuk) has said that if the song charts on Korean charts, they will be releasing a music video!! For international fans, streaming on genie is the easiest.
Reminder: Prepare for the live press conference happening in 4 hours (Friday 4:00pm kst). The video is only available for certain East Asian countries. If unavailable, download a vpn (such as 'Veilduck' or 'Pandavpn') and set it to South Korea. Youtube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CGXzQNDdUs
(edit: Yunho from Ateez will most likely not attend because of the covid case from Mnet's 'Kingdom'.
kind of worried for the cast due to the number of idols but hopefully the acting is decent enough so i won't cringe..…
There's no need to be worried about idol actors. What I wrote below REALLY applies to your comment (although it's a copy paste from my other replies)
-It's a good thing that real idols are acting, since this drama is literally about idols lives and the kpop industry. Wouldn’t the acting feel more real since the idols themselves have been in that environment? I mean, the idols themselves (specifically Yunho from Ateez) have said in an interview how much they relate with their characters. Yunho is exactly like his character Yoojin, they both had the same trainee experience and goals in life. Their personalities are also identical. That role fits him specifically because of his idol experience. -----We even get to see the behind the scenes of the kpop world! I’m sure it's exciting for the idols actors who sing and perform not only in their own groups, but in a drama. It’s also interesting for viewers (especially kpop fans & kdrama fans) to see how the kpop industry works, rumours, scandals, mental health, secret relationships, debuting, disbanding and etc.
-Also, I have seen and heard many people be weary about inexperienced actors, especially if they have no previous acting experience. I feel like the only thing to do is wait to see their potential. These actors go through tough auditions and are specifically chosen when they meet the requirements. Although they might have less acting experience, they can use this opportunity to develop their acting skills. (Take Cha Eunwoo for example. He began as an idol with no acting experience. Once he landed his first acting role, although it wasn't the best, he kept getting more roles that fit him and he is constantly developing his skills. With the help of his seniors and the fans, he will only grow to be a fully experienced actor soon.) This same patience we had for Cha Eunwoo is what we should have for these new actors in 'Imitation'. -----In many behind the scene videos, the ‘Imitation’ rookie actors have said that, they feel honoured to be able to work with their seniors and the experienced actors. The seniors are Ahn Danny, Jo Jungchi, Shim Eunjin and Jiyeon. The experienced actors are Lee Junyoung, Chani and Oh Heejoon. Both the seniors and experienced actors will definitely help and support all the inexperienced actors.
Overall, know that almost everyone in that cast list has acting abilities and experience. It might not be shown officially here, but just know that they’ve done thousand of shows and dramas within their kpop work!
For those who read the webtoon, I have a question. Does La Li Ma (Jiyeon) ends up with anyone in the end? (Mark…
La Lima ends up with no one. In the webtoon, Hyuk had a crush on her but since he was too young, she shut him down. Also, she has a crush on KwonRyuk but after seeing his and Maha's relationship, she decides to stop liking her.
Is there a lot of focus on the political tag? Cause I’m just looking for a light rom com but the 40 episodes…
On netflix it's converted as 20 episodes (each 1 hour long) and I'm 9 episodes in, half way done. So far, it's focuses mainly on historical (especially about women in Joseon era) and comedy. There's little political scenes but that's not the main focus.
p.s. the historical aspects might be confusing and hard to understand. However, the comedy scenes make up for it and is a little bit easier to digest.
At first i'm not gonna lie, it was boring because of the constant slow scenes of them just staring around or thinking. But after a few more episodes and truly understanding the characters, I realized that the topics in this drama feel realistic. Those slow scenes are now what I enjoy the most lol. Overall, it was a really wholesome movie.
It’s normal to be worried about a k-drama and you have every right to be. I wonder if you are a kpop stan or…
Ah it's Park Jiyeon right? You didn't really say the EXACT reason why Jiyeon being in 'Dream High2 ' worries you, but I hope you are thinking positive.
1. This is a huge lead role for her that involves her acting talents and kpop idol experience. Jiyeon is originally a kpop idol, so it makes sense she's in this drama about kpop idols. Her acting will feel more realistic and sincere since she's already familiar with the kpop environment. As well, she has definitely made a lot of friends with her co-workers and juniors. Half of the Imitation cast are her juniors and i'm sure they will support her as she supports them.
2. Let's not compare 'Dream High' with 'Imitation' too much. Although ‘Dream High’ and ‘Imitation’ center around idols, trainee, music and possibly dreams, they still are VERY different. 'Dream High 2' is even more different since it's a school based drama from like 10 years. I understand that Jiyeon played in 'Dream High 2' but let's not make it seem like a bad thing. Surely she has experience and she'll use what she learned 10 years ago into this new drama.
-If you are a Jiyeon fan, please be more supportive. I can tell by the 'Imitation' behind the scenes videos that she's excited to continue acting. -If you are not a Jiyeon fan, then please be respectful. Jiyeon is a senior and experienced actor. I'm sure she'll play her part perfectly. It's not only 'Dream High 2' that she's acted in, there's way more. like 'I Wanna Hear Your Song' and 'My Runway'. Watch more of her other dramas to see her acting style and personality.
@jiminmochi24 (@kavbun24) Hi, I saw the recommendation you made about 'Imitation' and 'Snowdrop'. However, the way you wrote it is incorrect. You wrote: (about idols. Kim Jisoo is a kpop idol a former member of Blackpink. The drama imitation is about kpop idol.)
1. 'Snowdrop' and 'Imitation' cannot be compared because Snowdrop is NOT about idols. Although 'Snowdrop' features Kim Jisoo who is a real life idol, that's where that comparison ends. Snowdrop uses the background and theme of the 1987 Korean political situation and democratic movement. There is no mention of kpop idols and kpop industry in 'Snowdrop'. Only 'Imitation' is about kpop idols.
2. Jisoo is not a former member of Blackpink. You don't even know facts about the person you are writing about, yet you want to make a wrong comparison.
3. Overall, you just cannot compare a political drama to a kpop entertainment drama. You can't compare at all, but you can still recommend. If you want to recommend, delete what you wrote or change your words. You can copy what I wrote below! Make sure to give me credit.
Correct way to write: Although 'Snowdrop' and 'Imitation' are very different in terms of genres, I would still like to recommend 'Snowdrop'. 'Snowdrop' has an idol actor named Kim Jisoo who will be acting for the first time in a lead role. Just like Jisoo, idol actor Jeong Yunho will also be acting for the first time in a lead role. credit: @harmony
