All in all, I still liked all of what the show gave us.And yes, I just knew that the swimming pool was special…
Unlike many other fellow viewers, I think that Park Chang Ho's emotions when Mi Ho died were actually well portrayed. That emotion you have when someone you deeply love is dying and you cannot do much but let her go of the pain she is in.

He was shocked, hurt, in pain, but he stood strong in front of Miho. And probably lived with her memories after that.

Let's not forget, it was emphasized through out the show that Chang Ho was who he was due to Mi Ho. And even after her death, the fact remained the same.

Chang Ho was quite fed up after all his attempts to defeat Choi Doha with the latter being one step ahead every single time. Mi Ho's death was the thread that snapped him out of it. He just made Doha suffer the same way.

Yeah, I had guessed Miho to live. And that didn't happen. She was among the 26% of the people who could die of lymphoma. Also, the timing at which Doha spit blood was.... well. He must have been in the infected water for quite a number of times for sure.
But it's a show and it doesn't have to be logical.

Oh, the psychopath son of the Chairman never made his appearance. Sad that the prisoner had an unfair life and equally unfair death.

Maybe the reason I enjoyed the whole show is that I literally watch for entertainment. I don't wish for things to happen. I go with the flow, and that automatically makes me enjoy the show.

Now that the shoot has started and the casts have been confirmed, I'm more relaxed than ever. The wait for the season 2 has been too long. Can't express the relief I'm feeling in words.

I had said this back then and even now I'd repeat the same thing. I would rather have the story be continued with new faces playing Eunseom/Saya and Tanya than have the whole show cancelled. The show and the whole plot had too much potential for it to be shelved due to casting problems.

I have liked both previous actors and well as present ones for a long time. And I know, Lee Joon Gi would once again bring out his best version for us to see.

I wish for old casts cause the story is left cliffhanger, it would be weird to suddenly use new casts.
The return of the original casts would bee good. I really hoped they all could come back.

But in case, this prolongs and they have to choose between cancelling the entire show or bringing the new casts, I'd still prefer saving the show and bringing in new casts.

If it was only about the 'wait' after almost 5 years of wait. another couple months of wait wouldn't sound bad, but we know how Netflix works. They may simply cancel the show. which is even worse.

I only worry that, IF that situation occurs, all the issues concerning us - the old fans and our hopes for the old casts could discourage the actors and actresses being reached out for these roles. This would only cause either abrupt end of the production or selection of someone who may not be the best or first few choices of the production.

I know... I'm thinking too far ahead. I guess, waiting for the show to happen and the characters to return has made me more nervous than I had thought before. Hehe

I'm watching it regardless of who's acting. I absolutely love the story and the world building in Arthdal, and…
Yes, the story was super intriguing and it's been a tough wait. I want the production to start already. :p

I found out about the replacement.
Honestly speaking, it's hard to imagine anyone else as SaYa (and Eun Seom). It took a few minutes for the news to sink in...
But I believe, if both Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won have decided to not return, they may have properly thought through it.

(Even while typing this, I feel torn. Does anyone know why they are not returning? Is it due to schedule conflicts or some other reason?)

But, if it's the actors' choice to decline the upcoming seasons, the production team would have to bring someone new. Unless they cancel the whole idea of new seasons.

I have waited for Arthdal Chronicles' new seasons for ages, so much that there was a time I used to check updates about it every other day. I remember removing it from PTW just so that I wouldn't think about it a lot. (Out of sight, out of mind, right?)

After all the wait, if they stop the production, for me, that would be even worse. So, if they bring in new, talented actors' for the previous roles, I'd still watch it. I don't want this project to take the downfall because the old main casts couldn't/didn't signed in.

Actually, I'd have a huge respect for any actor who would sign in as SaYa / Eun Seom and Tan Ya. Old Fans would have huge expectations while New Ones will have anticipation. And, though it's clear as day that their acting and style would be different from the old casts' versions of their character, it would be even more exciting to see how the new casts will perform.

And yes, I just read an another article... so if Lee Joon Gi is really taking over, I'm more than relieved. He will do his homework well. He always does.

[Edit: Turns out Season 2's storyline will take place more than a decade later. So, we will get to see adult version of the previous characters. So, the changes in main casts wouldn't come across awkward or off. As long as old casts decided to leave on their own accord, there shouldn't be any negativity towards the new casts]

Again, if old casts return, I'll be thrilled. (I really want them to.) Also, the new casts will not stop me from continuing along with the journey. I'll support them, nevertheless. ^_^

P.S. Um... it's great to express our views, but let's be respectful towards each other and the people involved in the project, please.

I remember when the trailer came out for the show... what pulled me in was the high defined production and concept of 'arranged marriage' between two males.

Of course, the show started great, at least for me. The show put forwarded the feelings and complexities of people who were pre-decided by the elders to be together for life and 'they' did fall in love while growing up to be the men they are now.

Unlike many shows there weren't any antagonist terrorizing their relationship or love rivals or second leads that came crashing in trying to sweep them away. The 'big bad' was 'insecurity' of the characters. Just like that the insecurity they felt led to threads of lies they created to show each other their presumed 'perfect self'.

However, this was what the story was all about. It was about their acceptance for each other but more so for themselves. What they needed was more trust for each other and to understand that they would have been loved for who they are nevertheless. Also, rather than assuming other person's choices and taking action on it, they had to understand that having communication and working on their relationship was what they had to do.

In short, it was more like "the end of the beginning".

I often see viewers complaining about the following stuffs in OTHER shows.
- The production being bad.
- The actors not able to perform as expected.
- The show not representing LGBTQIA+ but only feeding fantasies for others.
- The show romanticizing mean behaviors, sexual assault, etc.
- They kiss but there isn't any chemistry and it looks as if they never wanted to in the first place.
(not my words)
- The whole world is Gay. The Golden Line :- I'm not Gay. But I'm Gay for you.

And Cutie Pie was nothing like that.
It simply followed a plot of a novel (which I didn't read), tried to make some changes, keeping in mind that the core story should remain the same. It is a Rom-Com and it did what it was supposed to.

The series was fine. I won't say I loved it. But it wasn't anything close to bad. Also, to say, there isn't plot would be a little mean.

- Throughout the show, there had a few conversations against usual LGBTQIA+ stereotypes.
- We saw the students doing what they should! They were actually doing projects instead of sitting around in the cafeteria eating (which they always leave behind without taking a bite. Yes, I can't help but notice such things.)
- It also talked about marriage equality.
- The OSTs are beautiful. <3

I'm not saying everything is good about the show. The choice of words could have been better in some scenes. There are things that could have gone differently but that doesn't mean it has to suffer this backlash.

P.S. Please, understand that whatever I said above is not meant to offend anyone. Also, I respect everyone's opinion, and I believe have rights to give mine as well.

This was extremely beautiful.
Cinematography, background music, chemistry, the emotions.... all of them were simply heartwarming. Raw, empathetic and subtle. One of it's kind. <3

I waited so long for it to come out and I cannot praise it enough.

The scene after the credits....
Please tell me what you think about it!!!

It's not all a dream. Because Nest's ( I assume that's her) hand were still bloodied.

Could it be that the boatman's word were repeated to the viewers to indicate "the end of the beginning" stuff?

Also that... " As SOON As You Remember"

Does it indicate Season 2 ?

'Reset' is one of the few dramas I would recommend to others without a second thought.
From the plot to the characters, I believe it was well written. There were no annoying characters or cliché. It was thrilling right from the start and somewhat heartwarming at the very end.

Again, that's only my personal opinion.
What I wanna say is, at no point did I feel I should stop watching it. Rather I looked forward to it.
