Title Chimera
Such a bittersweet end to a great drama, and consistent to its mythology and tight storytelling. Glad that they didn't use excessive flashbacks to explain why and what happened and mostly driven by revelations peeled in each episode. Absolutely loved this!

Still sits as one of my favorite drama/mystery this year. I applaud the writer for consistenly engaging the viewers to be immerse with the Chimera mythology. It doesn't drag nor fill scenes with fillers. The four main leads have excellent chemistry. I'm bummed this would be ending this week!

It's the penultimate episode and I'm still baffled what is going on. The suspects seems to be just letting this characters go in circles and the motivation seems to be too opaque for interpretation. And the appearance of a cult adds more confusion to it. Maybe the woman who calls the ML's company was connected to it, plus the delivery guy who always acts suspicious around them. Also, who was that guy on the grave that was killed?

Love that the last episode sends an emotional flair to the series, with surreal elements and scenes that actually elevates the material to a different plane. Thank you for the subber for the hard work in subbing this series!

Seeing the fourth episode draws the line and a question on her subject: was he a child predator or a pedophile? He hasn't done anything physical with the girl but his behavior towards her gears on disturbing. It was tackled in unprejudiced way for this episode. I admire the acting of this second case as it was authentic and emotional. Thank you so much for the hard work in subbing this!

Love this drama, consistently dark and balanced with romance that doesn't feel right but feels blissful for both characters as they were damaged from their past and longs for a 'family'. Chemistry from both leads was electric and well-acted as well.

On Japan Sinks: People of Hope Dec 13, 2021
For a premise on a catastrophic event and the efforts of the government and its people to save lives, this was an engaging drama from the get-go without too much focus on the disaster itself. At its last stretch of episodes, the inclusion of a pandemic amidst their immigration program (the addition of regional - aside from individual, group and commercial, was clever) makes a very strong point on how plausible this thing could happen even when things go as it should be.

This series is so atmospheric and how it was shot has that gauzy, ethereal look but something sinister just lurks in the surface. I like how the episodes progresses.

We already know what's going to happen by the end but watching that trailer made me teary eyed for some reason. Love the documentary style of filmmaking they use in this.
