Can you tell me who is/are your favorite actor/s? which actors moved you? and which actors are more handsome in…
I would like to disagree with one point you made, not the whole post, what you said about doing and watching what you like and letting others do whatever they like is 100% my attitude also.
But the part where you're saying that the "reason why all these celebrities are on TV it’s mostly because they have fans" really bugs me. I think a lot of people immersed in the Asian idol fan culture forget that there's a big chunk of audience that just enjoys watching movies or listening to music without being a fan. Like, I have a long kpop playlist half of which is BTS, but I don't know a name of a single bandmember or what they look like, because I just don't care to look it up. Most Hollywood actors don't actually have "fandoms" in the same sense as Idols, but there are still millions of people who watch their movies without knowing anything about them except their name and maybe the name of their spouse. I can understand that kind of attitude about people like Kardashians, who don't really produce anything but controversies, but actors and singers should first and foremost be valued for their work, regardless of the name attached to it. And I think that's what XZ is actually trying to achieve now: to stop being labeled as an idol, and be valued for his acting (and maybe singing, if he decides to go back to that).
All of that being said, there's nothing wrong with being a fan as long as it's done without bringing harm to yourself or others. Sorry, went on a tangent there)))
If that wasn't a rhetorical question....Xiao Zhan is attacked whenever any other star has a problem/scandal. First…
It's not just him though, everyone who's somewhat famous got a piece of that trash. Half of c-ent is filing complaints and official statements. This wave had nothing to do with him "having no protection", it's like they just took the "most popular" list and copy pasted the same bs with different names
Why people are so histerical about the wait? It finished filming last year, with all the cgi, editing, voice recording and getting the license it hasn't been that long (3 hour Hollywood movies take a year to release and they don't even have the censorship hassle). And it was never officialy stated that it will air in the summer, just that it will be 2022. They will air when it's ready, I think people at Tencent know how to arrange thier schedule much better than the audience, just chill.
Oh, great. I really wanted something else with Chen Xiao after Dream of splendor, but his older dramas were not my thing. So, is youku better at modern dramas than it is at costume ones?
It basically lists a name, director, actors and broadcasting platform and says that release will be in August. There is, however, nothing on Tencent's or official Yu Gu Yao weibo account, so this is not official information.
If the Drama follows the novel closely, YS wil have a lot more screen time in future. His character will be better…
Sorry, but there's just no way in hell for me to like him. Like I said, they went too far with his "bad" side, transition to being less of a douche just don't seem plausible at this point.
I felt zero emotions for Yuan Shen's situation, i wouldn't even call that a situation. People there have lost…
You missed my point. I said, that I understand what was the problem, not that I feel said for him. That was literally the point of my whole post, that he's such a douche, it's impossible to care about his problems. I was just explaining that it was not just "his mom giving him freedom"
Actually, the scene in episode 25 all boils down to "face". He is the adopted son of the emperor, he is considered…
Yes, like SS said he has the power, so people obey him. That does not mean that what he did was proper or polite, it just means that people with power can do whatever and people who don't have power will have to deal with it.
She is really boring and annoying to watch hahah. I'm still waiting to see how she brings any relevance to the…
Ah, who knows. C-drams love to turn characters like this into vengeful harpies, but I just don't see it with her. So, likely there won't be much relevance
I agree with you on this I'm not sure when in such a happy occasion like all the siblings get together, her face…
What do you mean? Her parents treated her well and her aunt dotes on her. Shaoshang was the one treated like trash, yet Yang Yang is the one who looks "woe is me" at every occasion
I felt zero emotions for Yuan Shen's situation, i wouldn't even call that a situation. People there have lost…
I can understand where he's coming from, even though I don't feel sympathetic. He wants his mom to care and she just doesn't. It's not that she trusts him to make his own decisions and do what's best for himself, but that she just does not give a s**t
C-dramas sometimes just don't know how to balance a "kind of bad, but sympathetic character". They go so far with the "bad", that it's difficult to feel any sympathy even when given reasons. Like Yuan Shen, I would have felt bad for him and his "mom doesn't care" situation if he wasn't such a douche ALL THE TIME. Also I really don't understand why everyone keeps excusing mom's actions. This is not actually a runt :) I really don't get it. I know there's a cultural difference, because Chinese people are all about respecting their elders (nothing wrong with that) and also because of the time period. But I feel like there should be limits to what can be called "trying to do what's best for your naive child". And now we are going the "protective mom feels bad and sad" route again, but there's just not way to feel in any way understanding after what she's done.
I can't with YangYang's sour face. I hate characters like her and her constantly SAD facial expression doesn't make it better. Sorry, I know a lot of people like her. Just ignore me, I'm ranting.
