I find it very fitting that the one lead with a stable family is the most mature character in the drama (besides…
I also like that they didn't turn SML into a bad guy, just so she wouldn't choose him. That is a trope I hate the most, because when they do that (cough*Hunger games*cough), it just feels like "oh, so unless the other guy is murderer, she wouldn't choose the ML?". In the Wolf, Ji Chong really is like a dream guy (not perfect, just, you know, the whole understanding and being ready to wait thing) and Bo Wang is... kind of not (stubborn and moody as he is, IMO), but she still loves Bo Wang. It might be tad unhealthy, but to me that looks more realistic.
I have to agree, Ji Chong, as his father is, is for sure wiser than most people. He's one of the few characters…
Definitely agree about Yao Ji, she started out like a petty jealous girl out for revenge, but the more I see of her the more interesting her character gets. About Bo Wang, I meant that his self pity is ridiculous (I think I wrote almost the same thing as you under the spoiler tag). Ma Zhai Xing actually gave him very good reasons to side with Jin and he still plays the martyr. I was rolling my eyes through his whole speech.
Ok. I am sorry. But the more I watch, the more it feels like the only reasonable people in this drama are Ji Chong…
In ep 38 I actually started to sympathize with his reasons for doing what he's doing (I mean Bo Wang). Maybe, not agree, but I at least understood where he's coming from. But after the eps 41-42, I really want to slap him and tell him wake the f*** up. Yao Ji was talking out of frustration, but she's not wrong: his desire to hide and die is not a way to atone - it's just a coward's way out. He can't face his mistakes, can't let go of his pride and if he does not snap out of his pity party, it will cost him even more, than he already paid.
Ok. I am sorry. But the more I watch, the more it feels like the only reasonable people in this drama are Ji Chong and King Jin. Zhai Xing is getting better, but after episode 42 it seems Bo Wang is actually getting worse.
LOL! Goldfish memory or not, you'd really have to watch carefully without distraction, else you'd miss a lot of…
You think I'm joking, but I actually can reread books and rewatch movies a year later, because I don't remember anything! My brain apparently decides that this information is not necessary and just performs a storage cleanup for me XD
A question for those who watched up to ep 36. Am I the only one confused about what's going on? It feels like I accidentally skipped an episode (which is... entirely possible with my goldfish memory), but I have no idea where this plot twist came from. Please put your answer under the spoiler tag. Thank you :)
As per weibo update, it’s 55 dono y they put 51. I think tv version 58, web 55
The change in the number of episodes seems like bs, they have already been licensed for 58, why would they cut it? And there's no tv broadcast, the latest trailer says that it's web only. Exclusively on Tencent
What amazes me is that people who don't like this type of story line watch the drama just because it is hyped,…
It's kind of annoying that people are so insistent on assigning reasons why this drama is not rated higher. This is not a movie critics committee, people are rating low or high for their own subjective reasons, which can differ from person to person. And everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Well, Legend of Fei is pretty much confirmed so there's no hope for this drama any time soon? :(
As far as I understand this policy: if you want to air on TV - no more than 40. If there's more than 40, then online only. So Legend of Fei would probably air on Tencent, Yoku and other platforms like that. But I'm not an expert, so don't quote me on that :)) And even if I'm right, that still doesn't mean the Oath of love will air :((

But Legend of Fei is 58 eps. Can it actually have a TV broadcast? Didn't they limit it to 40 eps this year? Maybe I'm missing something, but I am confused actually :)
I don't know how to judge this drama. If I view it objectively, it does not have a good storyline and character development is kind of jerky at best (not due to actors, due to the script). But it still keeps me interested, I will definitely finish it and I still like it despite all the ridiculous plot twists that it has.
