wdym by this got cancelled already?? SO IT MEANS I CAN'T SEE MAX AND BOUN IN ONE SERIES??
The series took too many liberties the fans did not approve of. They didn't get sponsors.

In my opinion it seems The director took the silent treatment route and most likely the rights to film will be held by producer or contract holder until it expires by default and someone else can pick up the torch....

I would want Mike Angelo to pick it up and fund it. To be honest.

Now a licensed right to adaption contract is 2 years in the US... I' unsure if it's the same in Thailand. But judging by how quiet everything is, I think the director did the icebucket challenge on the whole project.

Cz given the silent treatment everyone has taken inregards to the series. It's most likely this went the same way the original filmmania project for KinnPorsche did. 2 years by wait of license expiration so someoen could take it over legally.. none of the actors involved in the promo seems to have a clue what' going on. If you check twitter.

He did not leave. Things happened. But not that.
He didn't drop out. He is simply no longer a part of the project as he said. The details are not mine to share but his. And he opted to write "I am no longer a part of this project" . Which is what he chose to let yo know.

I want this series to happen so bad. But I don't want people badmouthing a good person as if he abandonned the project or that he bailed because he thought he could do better...... because I've seen people badmouthing him already like "good cz he sucked..."

In honest he was the most fitting of any of the characters.... the least appropriate casting was Dollar. Though I wanted to give him a chance I didn't think he' be be so clueless as to whom he was playing. I can imagine at a 18yr old acting as someone who is meant to look 25ish... but Kong Que is nicknamed Grandpa for a reason and you'll know why soon.

Homophobs shouldn’t watch BL
Because your comment erases all other sexualities and it was not an educated comment what so ever.

Aside from there being way too much gay happening in this series, it's not bad.
What makes you think theh are all gay? They could be bisexual or pansexual or simply queer too. Don't erase pther sexualities because you only know two of them. Straigh or Gay aren't the only sexuality a man can have........ but yes in a BL there is bound to be a lot of gomoerotic feelings flung around. But that does not mean all characters are gay. You're vivdly erasing bisexuality and pansexuality from your own mind. Be mire OPEN

Maiake the other lead, left the series
He didn't want to leave and he was just as shocked of the information as the rest of us. He was one of the the most prepared person that really wanted to do the project right...

Also, he never said he left. His literal words were : I am no longer apart of this project :

And then gossip pages spun it to make it seem he left voluntarily. He was literally sad to hear he was no longer a part.

***** Here's what I have gathered*****

Nobody knows anything as to why this project is halted. Maiake was "let go" for reasons even he isn't sure of. The Author herself, the actors from the funding pilot (listed as cast above) their agencies and most crew have all been left questioning what the hell is going on and there is literally no news what so ever. There was a fundraising and it seemed to have gone well then a trailer but there were creative differences and one of the higher ups apparently shut communications with everyone so Mek is right, literally NOBODY knows anything right now.

Rest assure, I am certain that when they know so will you. So Please nobody blame anyone or say they quit because of bad translation assumptions.

And on a personal note.

Nobody under the age of 35 should play Hong Kong.

Not sure, but Maiake withdrew from it, so I'm guessing it's either gonna take a while for them to recast or they…
No, he did not withdraw.

No, the novel is better than KP. So I hope they won't try to make another wowfactor show like that and just aim…
True, then again, it's not about the others so they don't need to rake up center stage.

Of course he doesn't do any "real" police work. He's just like a pawn placement in there. Someone else paved for his way up the ranks and he knows it thay said, I hope I can provide the depths to the story because with me having the author herself correcting my translation I know I will do right by her. ;)

No, the novel is better than KP. So I hope they won't try to make another wowfactor show like that and just aim…
:P haha yeah it's really confounding to me, I even thought I myself was mistaken when reading it the first time... when I saw the promo, crowdfunding trailer I thought "was it really Peafowl?" and I numbly thought I remembered it wrong so even I began to use Peafowl... until the author herself corrected me that my first memory was right. It is after all, the very meaning of his name: Red Peacock => Hóng Kǒng Què (Red Peacock). not Peafowl, not a group of people, one man's name is the title.
they are changing that in the trailer which is becoming more and more clear to me, my guess is that if they are changing things around to fit the series adaption (loosely based on the novel then) they are making a group of behind the scenes operators. that's why they call it Peafowl, maybe.

the reason why I'm translating it now is because I read the story with my Thai/vietnamese friend years ago, and I loved it. the cat/mouse like mental games the two characters play with eo. :P

but when I saw the trailer I reacted strongly at how many characters I simply did not recognize at all, and some scenes/lines that were wildly confusing, I decided I needed to read the story again, but my friend and I have since moved to separate parts of the country, me in the very south, her in the almost northernmost county. so I can't borrow her book anymore. I went on a search online, didn't find any translations, started reading it on MEB again, and then decided I need to translate it. The promo had so many mental hickups for me, I contacted the author herself immediately, problems arose though because i really don't read thai that well nor do I speak it in any greater terms. I can make my way around, but not nearly as good as I could be. so I needed a good bridge between the languages from someone who does speak thai better than me.
=> Which became the author herself. :P

but I still want it to go through and become a series so I was hoping people would gain enough interest for the series. just .... it's as bad as the original filmania debaucle imop. I try to defend the casting and want people to give it a chance. but ... it's becoming very difficult to defend the casting. XD from the trailer, I wanna say *yes let's give them a chance* but when watching from interviews and stuff.... I wanna say * Wait what noo, what are you talking about??*

so I'm hell-bent on making the translation equal to a cinematic experience inside your minds. Dream-Style. I've done my thesis research on the subject of "dreamcasting" within the cognitiva cinematographia.

:) and I am a perfectionist. so it's the long-run.

Forgiven. Please be mindful, those sites are not l e g a l.. but sometimes it's all someone has. And they are getting shut down now, more than ever before due to enhanced copyright laws. So gatekeep them. Let people, bing, google or otherwise research their own way to them. And
NEVER EVER drop the .com or whatever the .we adress is. Be it .pr .pl .lg. ss .vee .se or whatever it may be.... even in pm's never the full " website.whaterer/ " out. Because the more people who do it, the higher traffic it gets. The more likely page will be gone within the year.

Trust me, I've lived long enough to see 128 of them go down.
And Japan, China, SKorea and also Thailand has hightened the ©️ laws and licenses are harder to get. Part of the reason also, why Cherry Magic is no longer available outside of Asia by legal means.....

By now, it's probably noticable that I spread some misinformation to keep the plot interesting for those that haven't read the novel but still found their way to unconceal my spoilers. ;) I planted som lies and deception within. Just to keep it interesting. Some of them were revealed today, some might be revealed next episode. All will be revealed by ep 12, (I think)

So, forgive me for my deception, I hope those of you that haven't read the novel liked the surprised actual facts that came of ep 10-11.

Also, those of us who have read the novel.
It's okay for those that want to be spoiled. But put a warning label on your factual information. I know some of you spoiled the actual plot on here too, I did aswell, UNDER CONCEALED DETAILS THAT YOU HAD TO CLICK YOUR WAY INTO AND MAKE SURE TO UNHIDE IN AN ACTIVE CHOICE TO READ IT.

But despite that. I do endulge people who want spoilers, But it's also why I stirr the knowledge pot a bit with contradicting information, and maintain that it's strictly novel spoilers. Most of you who have actually read the novel, probably guessed some of what were misinformation/obscured facts. And I'm thankful some of you who may have caught on didn't correct me. ;)

because even though I myself enjoy watching a series of a novel I have read.... a story is NOT fun for everyone to watch if you already know everything from start to finish. Even with some minor plot changes and scene differences it's impossible for some to watch if all the cards are on the table already. So when I write spoilers, I make sure you got to actively choose to read it. So it's a choice on you and not my fault. That said. I'm a bit of an S.. I need to have some fun, so not everything I say is a true spoiler, some facts are misinformation. Like a lot of "spoilers" I wrote about Jeff ;)

I hope not everyone will spoil so detailed ever again. I do it on purpose sometimes, write the lengthy ones. But you can't 100% trust me ;) I do hold all the spoilers. And as much as I wrote, I decided to defend Babe with facts, defend Charlie with, some facts. Obscure Reval (lol my mind is still thinking uncle from the episode and wrote Alan), Pete & Kenta. and discombobulate Way's ability, and absolutely muddle the shit out of Jeff.

Cuz what's the fun in knowing everything from the start? . You get to play River Song and even with everyone knowing much of content, still have people surprised in the end 😆

Ah. So almost like me then... but I also had my friend who corrected and helped me.

I don't trust auto translations 100%. My friend who speaks thai says they are barely ever accurate because of how turnabout Thai is.

I used to bombard her with questions about the plot and the books amd have her translate some of it for me. ^^

It's not for the entire story though, the first novel is shrouded in the find out what you want and need phase. But there's 3 all toghether.

I don't know what you have read either. LuckyCasualty is the english translation to which as far as author has given the only official permission... and I haven't even published any chapters yet because we're checking for trabslator errors on the first five chapters with the raws being donw for the first 11.

Before then it's been google as I did and using a hardcopy and a friend who is half thai (as I do). Or unauthorized translations with only the assumption of accuracy. :/

Ah Sofia's translation? She's good at pointing out the Tom & Jerry vibes between LYP and HKQ. :)

The story isn't dark in itself, but it's got it's share of dark humor. And of playthings. I really enjoyed the silent savagery myself. So I hope I can do that justice.

I think she left that out because I've always read HKQ as a bit of a puzzle. 😆 he's talkative, brazen and a bit of a sadistic prick . But there's so much about him we won't know and it always made me believe even the writer didn't know that about him when she wrote it.

I will say though, she is such a lovely person I think if she had to explain it all she would. Not that I will ask or pressure her for such a thing, we are on the basics of the novel need to know. The rest is the figment of our own imaginations, and mine tends to run wild as the psychology bachelor and literature major in me just analyzes the shit out of any kind of behavior, including fictional behavior as I've always seen stories written as told to be a reflection of the original author's thoughts on the world, people in it and how they would want it to be. <3 if HKQ is vaguely described and shrowded in mystery. It's simply not in our power to know, but to guess. So that's my own analysis of the writing. Mind you the novel is old, and I read it years ago. My memory of it has been that it packs subtext that the readers themselves can fill. The background story is hinted to, but incomplete. And we know about as much as Yi Peng does about HKQ because as a reader we have the Witness POV, not the Author's POV.

As for his age, guess to be in his 40s, maybe in his 20s could be in his 30s or he could be a Zombie, an immortal being ... little is known about HKQ.

But one thing is for damn sure, he is older than he looks and he is definitely not 18. 😁

No. It's literally written in the disclosures and the pages she has posted on the Thunwalai website for all to see 😆 her author notes are full of "please don't hate me for writing what I want" comments and things like that mixed in with her saying thank you a million times to those that love her story. 😆😆

Futher she explains she didn't intend for it to be a love story in it as she is just writing out her own thoughts and situations dealing with them in her own way so tells us to nit read too much into it and even wrote herself into a special episode where the characters all love her but she apologizes for putting them through, and also commenting sorry to much of the shit she wrote for them. 😆 her og platform is full if these things her pwn personal involvement in the story. 😆

And it's Peacock, not peafowl. Idk maybe they make it to be a group of people or something because a fowl is a grouo of peacocks and peahens where as Hong Kong Que literally means Red Peacock.

Oh well. We'll see... the pilot is a funds thing though
