ok so.... i expected the special episode to be a continuation of the family after everything's resolved but no. it's not a continuation of the show but rather focuses on the ML finally willing to open up and share his real feeling/actions to the FL :") not quite what i would have liked but guess it shares a story about communication between couples!

the FL hasn't realised that the kids are twins and the real reason why ML wanted to marry her in the beginning! she's gon find out about this in the next two eps.

my goodness no character more annoying than fong wenyi in this show. truly can't wait for an episode to see how everything exposes and ends up for him

i started this without any expectations and it's actually good; always a hook whenever there needs to be. looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

LOL this ending is truly.... underwhelming and dramatic. would consider this a good show up to the ending. barely any good explanations for the story and super rushed.

oh man, pleasant ending but just a little underwhelming. would have been good if we saw a little into the primary life and how it continued to unfold a little better for every family. still a good show, too bad overall but could be better.

ngl qinlan pulls off such roles SO WELL. im on 28 and i can't wait for the rest of the eps to be out as well.

i started this with no expectations but it really got my attention (i can speak mandarin as well so lucky me, i didn't need the subs).

i see the second part is continuing really soon too, so it's nice there's no huge gap time too! thanks for the clarification btw! :)

ooooh thank you! is that a new regulation this year? the other period dramas i've been seeing are all over 40 episodes (super long!)

just out of curiosity (since i don't read the novel), any idea why did they need to split this into two parts?

might be an unpopular opinion: the acting of every cast in this show, apart from Liu Tao's has been really mediocre that it makes it not the most comfortable show to follow. expected Raymond to do better considering how he has been in the HK scene (remembered him to be pretty good). it isn't bad here but it really can be much better.

ok so i've made it to the halfway mark and this show is truly a maze -- it goes in so many circles to find one answer. it may just be me but i still have no clue how this is gon end and that's the only reason why i'm continuing to watch this. would have dropped otherwise for how messy and the number of loops it's going in.
