Mr Queen is so good in the way it revives historical romance genre tropes and injects a good amount of humor, fun and beyond. Honestly was more than I expected. Loved it!

I'm a sucker for Korean storytelling and this one has such a cool concept. The premise is good. All about a mono and his probe. It is a love lesson on colour theory. A love akin to bringing colour to the colour blind (literally). A first love that breathes life into a colourless existence, yet with an air of obsession and crazy. The story is kind of ridiculous and dramatic in a lot of ways but pretty typical of romance. It does feel a bit unresolved for me plot- wise overall. That said, Its cute, different and short .A fun watch!

Its coming on Netflix SA next week. I will wait to watch it on there.

I get a record of youth feel in terms of pacing, vibe and humour. I hope hope it turns out better though and doesn't fizzle out like that one. I'm loving it so far

It is beautiful in every sense of the word from the aesthetics to the narrative. This embodies a level of intensity. intimacy, purity and tenderness that is hard for me to describe. Quite a simple first love story but complex in emotion. I can see the hype now.

There is surely some higher order reasoning behind this 13 min short film. Maybe a comment on vulnerability and nudity or whatever. I can't pinpoint the rationale or intent behind it. All I know is that it took a weird and kinky turn in the the name of concern. I don't know how to rate this. I can only describe it is a WTF experience... but i guess the artsy and symbolic nature might be lost on me. I need more information for better judgement.

I found this very awkward (not in a good or cute way) throughout... I just didn't buy the chemistry or performances. The plot itself was weak and I'm sorry to say that the ship was not even strong enough for me to board or want to sail.

Welcome to the world of Vlad and Karl. We get a seat to witness the dynamic of being out and proud vs closeted and afraid. An authentic and sophisticated representation of what the confident gay vs panic gay looks like in reality. It is truly a nuanced, intentional and intelligent story. Every decision has meaning from the shots, compositions, music, colours etc. It is full of quotables, smart writing and beautiful visualisations . A pretty well thought out story showing a spectrum of issues and phases of acceptance. It makes you think and feel. We can all relate!

In terms of the standards for historical dramas this is not one of my favorites, but it is not bad at all. I personally did not buy into the protagonist's plight or the love story. The premise was shaky from the beginning and I found myself empathizing with a lot of the supporting characters most of the time. The crown prince ultimately achieving his goal did not even give me the sense of satisfaction i was looking for. That said, it is cute overall and is a watchable historical drama with beautiful visuals.

This show is elite. A multi-layered piece of historical speculative fiction. The story, characters and actors are all amazing. The drama, comedy, action and twists are crazy good. They even weaved in a little bit of romance in such a way that it doesn't feel forced or the main driving force. Historical dramas tend to drag on and feel too predictable the more episodes you go, but this one is different. I feel like this show is underrated!

Someone described this show as crackhead energy... and boy were they right!?!? It is definitely on the quirky side of sitcoms and well written. A kind of experimental BL with satirical humour that doesn't take itself too seriously. It plays with genre conventions. The characters were all bizarre but charming(kudos to the actors for bringing them to life) The whole thing quite simply borders on the absurd and you either a hate it or love it. I enjoyed the silliness of it all. I found it strange, but weirdly endearing. Extra points for originality, fun and general clownery.
