Ian Pangilinan (Vlad) on Twitter:
While in the company of brilliant people recently, one thought kept playing over and over in my head.

I'll be damned if I let everything I, and everyone in that room bled and fought for, die because of a single blow.
[Translated]
This is still my story. Mine. Taking back our stories, as we said right? We're made of thicker stuff than this.
All tears that should be cried have been shed. Now, [we're] going out again.. Our fight still continues.

---

It seems like they're going to proceed with season 2 without the creator. Paolo (Karl, one of the victims) seems to have also implied the same thing.

Everyone here is with you on this. We're waiting for a good season 2 for like forever now.
The writer and director posted pics on twitter last month which seemed to be some sort of an ocular visit.

In addition to Meet Me Outside (another BL related to GSP created by the same writer and director; story of James -- the ex of the current boyfriend of Vlad's ex (nicknamed A for Aldous)), GSP is also expected to produce another spinoff probably entitled Paul (James' ex) and Aldous (Vlad's ex).

as per updates from the writer, season 2 script is almost done/already done. the problem is COVID-19. Season 2 will be mostly shot in a school setting, so they can't proceed with filming if face-to-face classes are restricted.

So i don't know if this will make any sense but i still wanna tell it, so I've noticed that when someone watches…
I remember the discussions on twitter and youtube after each episode, it was really heartwarming (and sometimes disconcerting) talking with people about the subtleties of the episode -- esp. starting ep 4. I met with friends to watch the episode of the week, compared the similarities between Karl and Vlad's experiences and our experiences, cried for the better part of the night, and eagerly waited for the next Friday.

Meet Me Outside provides a "peek" at how a certain portion of gay hookups progress. As a gay person who has been in every gay dating platform, including Blued, I can't emphasize enough how ACCURATE episode 2, 5 and 6 are. It was as if I was reliving a hook-up (that turned into a 2-year relationship) from 3 years ago. You can literally feel that this was made by gay people for gay people. It's also a great critique of the "fast food" relationships that these platforms have to offer.

I think the reception to Meet Me Outside is more than a go signal for Blued to fund a season 2 -- preferably separate from Gaya Sa Pelikula's season 2.

While not as tailored as the songs in GSP, the songs used in MMO nevertheless sufficiently conveyed the emotions portrayed by the scenes they appear in. Severo's use of Pavement and Danger by TheSunManager is a testament to his unwavering commitment toward the promotion of OPM regardless of local popularity. I had checked the official videos of these songs on YouTube and was surprised that both songs had no more than 200 views! Obviously, Pahintulot was the Ride Home of MMO.

I am thoroughly convinced that Kaloy (James) and Genesis (Dale) are a couple and you can't tell me otherwise. But I digress. I have only seen bits of Kaloy and Genesis' past acting stints in Boys' Lockdown and In Between, respectively, but I can definitely say that they were better in MMO. I am unsure whether this is a product of Severo's script and Habac's direction or the fact that these people shone more because they were given the opportunity. The awkward moments were accurately portrayed. Dale's duality as a shy yet daring (in the right conditions) man reminded me of someone I know. James' conversation with his ex was painfully familiar and the scenes that transpired in episode 5 all the more so.

Some people might doubt what a 50-minute series could offer, but dare I say, this series really captured a familiar part of the gay experience -- the soft moments, past and present, that we wish to relive in the future. Meet Me Outside is a good intro series for those who wish to start their BL journey and is definitely a series that many gay people would remember.

Try watching Meet Me Outside from the creator of GSP.
It's short, sweet, and relatable. Same vibe as gsp.

Title Meet Me Outside Spoiler
Wait what? I knew they were done by the same crew but didn't know that they'll connect the story like that XD
Some ppl on twitter were speculating/hoping that Kaloy (James) would be cast as Vlad's ex. Severo, in response, tweeted in his DBK stan account that Kaloy won't be casted as Aldous because he deserved a full-blown series of his own. He followed this with another tweet confirming speculations that James' ex in MMO is the current bf of Vlad's ex in GSP.

kinda mad that the last episode airs on january 1st in youtube…
the series is nice and all, but at the end of the day, blued has to maximize the buzz around the series to rake in users (and therefore, make a profit, which would hopefully lead to a season 2). producing a series isn't free -- no matter how short. bummed out that it's been delayed, but hey, it's still offered to us for "free".

For those who missed it:

Severo (the writer) confirmed on a tweet that James' ex is the current boyfriend of Vlad's ex (Gaya Sa Pelikula).

Advertising purpose= Trash, it's started very good and nice and suddenly you can throw it to the garbage because…
It was very clear from the start that its purpose was to promote the ad. Blued made no secret of it. So it's on you if you're just finding out that it's an ad for the app.

It's alright, seriously to call it "The Best" I don't know if you are watching other series lol. It's typical,…
Or maybe we should leave these people alone? It's not hurting anybody and maybe they connected with it on a personal level. We're all watching the series from different perspectives and in different contexts. :)

Episode 5. OMG. One of the best BL series. Nothing less from Gaya Sa Pelikula's writer and director. Jesus H Christ.
