Also their writer is an expert in anime summer/winter movie which is non-cannon while kingohger's writer have a pretty diverse background. Not quiet sure he can handle a series.

According to Netflix official English subs, it is Gaku's partner at the end of Episode 8.

Common but this is a ninja-themed show, i think using Showa-era song is a better choice. The show have Late 70-early 90's Japanese Action-Thriller/Tokusatsu vibes to it, choosing western song is a no go.

I think the izakaya scene on episode 1 is a surprise statement for the audience that the drama is going to be a musical.

Post-build Muto Shogo have consistency issue in the final quarter of the drama. Hopefully it did not happen with this one.
