I like Sorimachi's work, but me personally can't really see a middle aged Onizuka.

One point that makes him interesting is that he is an ex-delinquent turned teacher in his 20's.

The timing. Because usually it's something like exactly on 25th years or to commemorate a milestone/manga sequel/etc.

Sorimachi is too old to play Onizuka, but we'll se how he interact with Reiwa era.

This could be a really good KR/Sentai/20 episode-ish web drama or Anime script. But way too rushed for a standard weekly renzoku.

it's weird that they got a decline in quality. Budget cut? the core cast is relatively inexpensive except Mackenyu. Pretty questionable decision IMO.

Nope. Ryo is 17 in the epilogue also in the dialogue Nana said that Ryo have grown up and they haven't met in a long time. Her hairstyle is also different.

From my perspective, She's getting in touch Ryo and Kaori's family member sometimes after waking up from her coma. Not quiet sure with the rest, except Shori due to Nana didn't have time to connect with him and Tanaka is an angel/afterlife gatekeeper.

The first one was either her or probably a double agent. But the one in the final episode is Gaku's partner.
