Did you skip the scene where the police guy begged his superior to have it investigated (also indicated that he had repeatedly begged before), but the superior refused? Why would he waste resources on something the guy himself couldn’t even prove—whether that island exists or not?

Hmm, I was thinking his transformation into a slime had something to do with the slime in Season 1. I don't really remember any green slime in Season 2, but there was a green slime thing in Season 1. I vaguely remember that the slime in Season 1 helped/protected the boy before, and the boy considered the slime a friend, but it died. I don't remember how. Didn't he want to turn into a monster? Maybe when he said that, he was thinking about the slime in Season 1. Honestly, I don't know 🤷🏻♀️
