Are you for serious? It's one of the worst first look I've ever seen.
On The Remarried Empress Nov 14, 2025
Shin Min Ah and Lee Se Young look absolutely stunning — wow.
Ju Ji Hoon looks powerful emperor.

But Lee Jong Suk’s makeup and character concept man this is too soft and girly, it completely breaks the vibe I expected for this drama. I thought we were getting a badass series with a strong romantic punch and intense lead interactions, but his first look is… honestly total disappointing. I can’t process how such a mismatch happened for a lead character. Thsi is one of my anticipated drama i want it to break the norms and give something which will stay young for decades & forever.

It was good — superb characterization and solid performances all around. Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee are both excellent actors, so you naturally expect strong, compelling performances from them when they come together — and they absolutely delivered.

But Seo Ji Hoon truly stood out. What a brilliant portrayal of his character! He’s the kind of character you find yourself wanting to be like — so genuine and heartfelt. Honestly, I enjoyed his performance the most. The way he handled the role — balancing vulnerability, love toward Sun Woo, and his individuality within complex family dynamics — was simply outstanding. He didn’t just portray the character; he truly lived it. He was superb in it.

Overall rating: 8/10

Brilliant performance, bold take, and a very raw, realistic approach to the story — I liked it. However, the screenplay was poor, and the pacing was painfully slow.

Now, my biggest issue: Heo Nam-jun. I’m sorry, but he’s just not the right casting choice. His performance feels weak — he struggles to hold your attention and often seems like he’s trying too hard, which becomes distracting.

I’m sure he worked hard for the role — it’s a demanding character — but it feels like he only memorized the lines instead of understanding or feeling them. There’s no emotional depth, no genuine connection to the moment, and that leaves his performance hollow.

Take the confession scene — beautifully written and directed, a moment meant to carry weight and release years of emotion. But the second he opens his mouth, it doesn’t feel real. There’s no spark, no vulnerability. You’d expect something deeper and more powerful — especially when the person in front of you has been your greatest strength for seven years and you finally want to hold on to her for real. But he just rambles through the lines, trying to deliver it in a format we’ve seen so many times — and even in that, he couldn’t pull it off.

That scene should’ve been filled with sincerity and raw emotion, but instead, it felt one-sided and mechanical — like he was acting alone, not with his co-star. The chemistry just wasn’t there.

It’s honestly the weakest confession I’ve seen in such a brilliantly made drama. The direction and setup were perfect, but the execution fell flat. The director should’ve gone for another take — I wouldn’t have approved that cut in the final edit.

A real confession has to come from the heart — you have to feel it, not just saying the dialogues . Just look at Young Rae received in that moment. That’s what true acting looks like — feeling the character, not just saying the lines.

Heo Nam-jun as Han Jae-pil really disappointed me. His portrayal lacked conviction, and honestly, it just feels like a casting mismatch.

It’s not over yet, but it’s kind of clear how it’s going to end. All the boxes are nearly filled. The screenplay and performances (especially Kim Da-mi’s) are so strong — and the supporting characters’ arcs are brilliantly done. They’ve become my favorites to watch. Can’t wait for the finale — let’s see if there’s one last surprise left.

Due to some reason, I couldn’t watch episodes 7, 8, 9, and 10 earlier — just binged them all right now. And wow… here’s what I’m feeling.

Director and screenwriter — I didn’t know your plan! You really caught me off guard. What’s this behavior? You can’t make this drama that good, man! After I complained so much about episodes 3, 4, 5, and 6, you went and made me eat every single word.

Jokes apart, A Hundred Memories is something rare — the kind of drama that feels alive. It’s warm, it’s human, it stays with you.I honestly can’t remember the last time I watched something that felt this warm and fun overall in an this kind of setting drama.

The timeline jump flows so naturally — no confusion, no abrupt cuts. It’s handled so smoothly, carried entirely by mood, silence, and performance. The editor knows exactly when to hold a shot and when to let it breathe.

Every supporting character gets space to shine — written with care and balance. The combination scenes? Absolute directing brilliance. The storytelling is patient, never rushed, never forced.

Now, that bus scene — Young Rae reading Jong Hee’s diary? She gets emotional as tears start to build while she reads, slowly falling from her eyes down her face. That moment — no cuts, just the camera moving gently around her, focusing on every shift of expression — it stays. And that’s what makes it powerful. The silence, the stillness, the way her eyes flicker between grief, pain, love, and regret — all swirling together.

The direction? Masterful. It doesn’t tell you how to feel — it lets you feel. And the performance? A breathtaking masterpiece. Kim Da-mi delivers her absolute best. She’s not acting — she’s living it. If this performance doesn’t win Best Actress, I don’t know what will.

Episode 8 was emotional, warm, and handled with so much care. Episodes 9 and 10? Equally good. What I love most is that it’s not depressing — and that feels intentional. The editing is meticulous; it’s clear the creators didn’t want this to become just another sad love triangle story. They chose warmth. They chose hope. They chose sincerity. Every scene carries its own energy — nothing feels flat or monotonous.

Sure, there are clichés — but they’re minimal and never overpower the heart of the story. (Cont)

It really started off too lame — I honestly didn’t expect it to be that cliché. But it got interesting when Meri meets Ujoo. From that cactus scene to the car ride to the house — absolutely hilarious! I was laughing like crazy in my bed — what a sequence! Then again, it slipped back into some cliché stuff. Still, by the end of Episode 2, I somehow liked it and found myself looking forward to the next one.

Meri’s characterization is fantastic — she’s instinctive, fun and emotional. But I just want to say one thing that’s a bit out of the box: Choi Woo Shik’s characterization as Woo Joo feels pretty flat. I loved his introduction scene, where he didn’t give up his seat to that guy — I actually didn’t want any justification for it. I wished his character would stay like that — someone who doesn’t give or compromise for anyone. But that idea completely fell apart in the next scene when it was revealed that he had overheard that earlier conversation, and that’s why he acted that way. It killed the intriguing edge I imagined for him.

Also, the fact that he turned out to be the next-seat passenger of that mother felt cliché.
Still, I have to say, I enjoyed his performance way more here than in melo movie where he felt dull and uninterested.

After watching Episode 5 — it started off too good to miss! The first three episodes are absolutely killer, with fantastic pacing. Even without many scenes together of the lead actors, I really enjoyed it — their dynamics are amazing to watch.

But Episodes 4 and 5 were quite disappointing. The story isn’t moving forward, and the stakes don’t feel higher at all. The seriousness is missing, and my interest in watching further has gone down because of that.

The performances, though, are solid from everyone. I just want to add — Rowoon proves himself to be a worthy actor, one with real guts. Can’t wait to finish it, and I really hope many other creator does something bold like The Murky Stream.

It was fantastic — so much fun to watch! The editing keeps you hooked till the very end. It’s a brilliant series. Not saying it doesn’t have flaws, but the screenplay moves with such pace that it never gets stuck at one point. You get completely immersed in it and forget about the weak spots. It’s definitely a series you shouldn’t miss. And that ending twist — totally unexpected, superb, and incredibly smart. I absolutely loved it.

Title The Nice Guy
From a cast and crew like this, what do you expect? So let’s talk — in general, a good series has to have a solid start, superb in the middle to keep your eyes engaged and moving forward, and a banger of an ending. And the nice guy misses all three.
On Brocade Odyssey Oct 2, 2025
I truly don’t understand the logic in screenwriting where a negative, selfish character who kills innocent people and does unforgivable things is suddenly portrayed as righteous when he’s about to die. An antagonist should remain an antagonist—maybe I’m just not the best person to judge these creative choices. That said, it was a very good drama overall. It never strays from the central plot, though I did feel the battle scenes toward the end could have been more grand and better plotted. Even so, it was a solid watch.
