Im not getting the vibes that she likes Sheen other than as a friend (at the moment). Everything she has done so far is to put Drake and Alys together not her and Sheen. Her asking him to the ball, again i think was to make Drake go because she would have been stood up otherwise

Is there a reason as to why we haven’t got past episode 3 on Amazon? It’s been a fortnight since the last one aired.

I thought that at first but then he said she only has 1.5kg to loose so it’s more focused on her lack of strength, fitness and ability to bend (touch her toes etc).

And the reason why LJY’s body is darker than his face is because in body building competitions contestants bronze their bodies to show off muscle definition, there is no need to bronze the face…or dare I say it, it’s not LJY’s face, maybe his head was photoshopped to the body.

Aww now that's not fair. She is a 14 year old girl with no understanding of society and its dangers, She is vulnerable to emotional manipulation and persuasion. If we are talking about the dates specifically she didn't know that's what it meant. In her defence, she stood up and walked away pretty quickly when he said that, "I'm feeding you dates and you're talking about children" she did not sound impressed to me.

Plus, she has not been well raised by anyone. She has no mother to guide her, her father is next to useless and unloving because he believes she caused his concubine to miscarry. She has no one to rely on other than a group of maids who let us be honest, only care that she gets fed, gets dressed and causes no problems for the family back home.

I absolutely love and agree with your comment. She is a 14 year old child at this point and her only source of knowledge and comfort is an older man who DOES know better. At 14 with no parent or guardian to love and advise her, she would not know that his touches and words are inappropriate, his behaviour is inappropriate for the year 2024, today we call that grooming. So she is NOT to blame for having fallen in love with a man who knew better. He is to blame for both his actions in the past and his obsession in the present.

If she had run up to him, hugged him and said "you left me for too long" and he replied something like "forgive me...I've missed so much but I'm home now..." I would have been happy, so very happy. Just a couple of simple lines would have worked wonders.

Is this a new way for the writers to give additional episodes to a drama without technically going past the 40 episode limit?? It's what happened with the drama The Double.

They're not up yet buy they may provide us with an alternative ending. Ijust hope it's not videos of the cast saying their goodbyes to the drama?

I noticed the phoenix and the grandma but didn't make a connection to the story.
The Phoenix rising from the ashes. The Grandma's foretelling of Jan CI's future. Nine lives, the words from the songs. What an amazing analogy. Even if it turns out that the writers do disappoint us with a SE (or even an OE, hate those more) I will hold your wise and positive analogy in my heart, I've put the tissues away and I look forward to a HE.

I guess he’ll be the best person to know Wei Zhao’s ending. He is a great actor and I do respect him but depending on what he said maybe i’ll just ignore him and keep my hopes for a HE.

The spoilers coming from the novel readers is that Jan Ci's master died long ago and that this meeting and revelation between them in the drama did not take place in the novel. BTW: I always need to know the ending of a book before I finish it so I love you novel readers for telling us...thank you xx

If the writers have changed Jan Ci's master from being dead to now alive, well and having cuddles and conversations with her disciple.....I am really hoping that the writers have changed Wei Zhoa from perishing in the fire to having somehow escaped, maybe with a disfigurement (Chinese drama's seem to love a blind hero) and then he returns to Jan Ci as her husband and raises their child.... Anyone...anyone wanna jump on my "we can have a HE" train....?

I noticed on his instagram that he now wears a solitary ring on his ‘wedding ring finger’. I also noticed that now so does Emily Mei. I always wondered about them dating because they went to Santorini and a few other countries and events together. I mean nothing sinister by saying this, it really is my observation and a bit of harmless gossip on my part and was wondering if anyone of his other followers had noticed. Their chemistry was off the charts in her music video ‘monster’ so it wouldn’t surprise me.

I was hoping for that too. Mata's friend doesn't dress or fawn over him like the women he has always been attracted to. It would have been nice if they had more screen time together and built a friendship that had the potential to turn into romance. Maybe then he would have learnt to love himself and another for their personality rather than their legs!

I have read that there may be more than 16 episodes, so maybe there is time for such a plot yet. I mean, let's be honest, they are not going to fix the problem of Peng's father in one episode and we still have the story line involving the man and his sister-in-law. Plus, I want to see the father/daughter relationship develop between grandpa and Grace

The Wolf with Darren Wang was filmed in 2017 but didn't hit our screens until 2020, so my friends let us not lose hope of seeing our yummy Luo Yun Xi as Chu Wan Ning...or Chen Fei Yu if he is your fancy, I don't want to exclude anyone
