Sadly, cdrama industry have moved on from these type of dramas as they cost too much to produce now, this one of the reasons so many costume dramas post covid look cheap compared to pre-covid costume dramas. All the recent costume dramas basically shoot in the same studio to reduce costs so you end up getting same looking dramas. Most of the male audience who used to watch these drama have also moved on to donghua(chinese anime) as well, so you rarely see male centric costume dramas nowadays
No way, there is no way this rumor is true. After all, this drama is centered on a FEMALE LEAD and has no MALE…
It seems you are not aware of the billing drama that happened during casting of When Destiny Brings the Demon, there is zero chance he will work in this drama
There is a new melon but hoping it's fake as it looks so generic and something that has been done so many times already. At this point, the entire cdrama industry is creatively bankrupt
I finished this drama last week but forgot to rate it earlier. Initially, I would have given it around a 7.5 or even an 8 because of the good earlier episodes. However, there’s one issue I really can’t overlook the repeated scenes where the female lead slaps the male lead. It happens multiple times, and I found it quite off-putting.
What bothers me even more is the double standard around this trope. If the roles were reversed, like in some early 2000s dramas, there would likely be much more criticism. But since it’s the male lead on the receiving end, many people seem to ignore it or justify it, which I don’t agree with.
Because of this, I’ve had to lower my rating to below 5.
You're probably not aware, but before Netflix entered the Korean market, almost all K-dramas used to film and…
I’m not entirely certain, but I recall reading possibly on Soompi forums that the Taek character was cast as the first male role, before the other male roles. Also, since the main characters are shown being interviewed in the future, at least one of them would need to be very famous for people to be interested in their childhood. Taek is the only one portrayed as a well known celebrity, so I don’t think that aspect was changed.
