I don't have HBO nor the time to plow through all 70+ episodes of GOT. How does Arthdal compare?
Well one point for sure is that Arthdal chronicles is not as long as GOT. The story has just the right amount of suspense and thrill to make it seem intriguing without any boring or dull parts. If you haven't watched GOT then I think the story and plot of Arthdal will be even more interesting to watch! I really suggest you to give it a try!
This drama has a pretty high rewatch value for me. Every time I finish this series I can't stop thinking about it. The story had just the right amount of melodramatic, romance, and revenge. An added perk is definitely being able to rewatch Ji Sung's sexiness every time.
Should I give this one a try? I'm not a huge fan of Park Shin Hye, but she's not a deal breaker if the drama's…
Yes, you should definitely give it a try. At first I was also a bit hesitant to watch, because of Shin Hye , but the story really grabs you in from the beginning itself. It pulls you in and makes you want to know the sequence of events. Also, I found myself paying more attention to Hyun Bin. He performed his role wholesomely, it felt like I was engaging with him and his emotions throughout the drama!!! As for Park Shin Hye her role is not that important you can really think of her as a support character that leads a part of the plot forwards. For the story, the drama begins with how Hyun Bin gets an offer to play a game that combines virtual reality to the real world. As for the offer he recieves to play it you should watch it to actually know since it is a bit complicated to explain. However, with this offer he goes to Granada, where the game version is actually located to play at and he gets entranced with the game' capabilities. Sooner or later he gets pulled into a few problems and has to find the creator of the game, which is basically what the whole drama is. I hope this helps, the thing is if someone spoils most of it to you, the drama won't be as interesting to watch.
I tried to watch this but couldn't get past the first episode because of jang jae yeol's personality, is it going…
Honestly for me her personality was not my favourite, but I kept watching it because of the plot, not really the romance. I am on episode 9 right now, I was also about to drop the show after episode 2 or so, but I promise you that it gets interesting.
I rarely watch Medical/doctor dramas but this show managed to connect me close to my heart. I loved Park Shi On and his growth as an aspiring surgeon throughout the episodes while also battling his autism deficiency. I was truly inspired by his character, every single word he said made me get tears to my eyes. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for the drive/inspiration to work harder on what they aspire to be.
