Mudeok is a special case because the body she's in is special. But in ordinary cases, wounds can create imbalance between body and soul because they make the soul shifter lose energy.

Well, that's also a very plausible theory. I just assumed it was daddy Jin bc it would be kind of difficult to have him as the Queen's eunuch hahaha I guess she could soul shift him into another body, but they would have to murder lady Jin's husband and that would rise suspicion.
