Let's be rational guys (I know it's difficult bc I love Somin too), we all know Naksu is the FL. We don't know who real Mudeok is, but she's not the FL. We don't know what will happen to Mudeok, it might be something great! Maybe she turns into a deity and lives forever! Or maybe she sacrifices her previous body but chooses to live in a different/stronger body. We can't just assume she's gonna die. That's a possibility, but it makes no sense to give up on this drama when we don't know how it ends. Somin won't be the FL, but there's a chance she'll make special appearances on 2nd part.
We don't know what will happen to Mudeok/Buyeon. But we know the FL is Naksu and that she'll get her body back.
A prequel with tha actors all looking the same as now doesn't make sense bc Naksu didn't interact with them. Uk didn't have powers, nothing was accomplished during the time Naksu was training and being an assassin. If so, they would already hint it. The hints from the past were all from 10 or 20 years ago, and they all looked different back then.

If you're curious, I highly recommend watching Law school. She played a really difficult character, she displayed both vulnerability and strength really well. It is a faulty character, you might not like her, but she did an awesome job portraying that character.
What that heck. They burned Naksu's body in S1... how is it possible that Naksu's original body (Go Yoon-jung)…
Ikr? I'm trying to stay positive as well. Even if Jaewook wasn't confirmed to be in part 2 I would support the show until the end. It's not like we didn't see that one coming. I tried my best not to think about the time Naksu and Mudeok would have to part ways, but here we are dhsuihduishd
