How is it possible for a dead/decayed body to come alive only by inserting a soul in it? I don't think they can completely separate body and soul without mixing their composition. They use Hwansu (the power to change water into fire and vice versa) to perform the alchemy of souls, which means this is not a spiritual kind of sorcery. That also explains why Mudeok is not blind anymore.
I don't think they will fight over FL. For now, there's this guy from the past who she used to like and the guy…
The Hong sisters don't really work with love triangles, the second lead either has a one-sided love or the female lead is over the guy. If I'm right, they'll use the whole triangle thing as a parody. The 2nd lead is getting all the good cliche stuff while the lead gets all the bickering haha
But isn't process of conception pure biology? Even if we go by the concept of body and soul where body is perishable…
Alchemy alters matter, they use magical water in the process. The alchemy of souls definitely changes the shifters' bodies, that's why Mudeok can see now. I know it is fantasy... buuuuut even soul-switched how tf is ML the child of the king? Like he used the body of…
Yeah, I wouldn't apply our science to this story. This is high fantasy, Daeho was born out of the energy of a dragon, so it's better not take it too serious hahaha I think their logic is pretty great, we still don't know much about their alchemy, but hopefully we'll get more answers ahead in the show.
I see many people having problems understanding why Uk is not Jang Kang's son, so let's analyze the situation:1…
2 - The king believed Uk would be his son because of the prophecy he received during his coronation, but that doesn't mean Kang is not partially Uk's father. I believe Uk received both the king and Kang's DNA, which means he's destined to be a powerful king.
I see many people having problems understanding why Uk is not Jang Kang's son, so let's analyze the situation:
1 - Kang used alchemy (the magical process of transformation, creation, or combination) to shift their souls. So the DNA involved in Uk's conception is neither purely Kang's nor the King's.
I'll discuss the 2nd point in the comment below as a spoiler.

They used ALCHEMY (there's magical dragon water involved) to switch souls, so technically the DNA was modified. I think it's correct to assume that Uk's father is both the king and the mage. His conception was prophesied for the king because Uk was destined to succeed him on the throne.
