That's very practical of you 😂 The amnesia trope is valid for the reasons you mentioned, but also to develop deep damaged characters like our FL. The amnesia plot is there bc the character wouldn't develop otherwise. Yeong suffered too many mental and physical traumas. It's totally reasonable for her to lose some memories, especially if she had to go through a major physical trauma to survive (gawd knows how she ended up in her original body again: experimentation? cursed artifacts? the ice stone demanding an equivalent sacrifice?).
