I don't mind dragging as long as I can enjoy the journey and the resolution is satisfying. I don't like rushed plots that leave the impression the events didn't sink in. I think it turns the experience more immersive when we have time to feel the same urge the characters are feeling. Delay of gratification is a good thing.

Amnesia can be a good thing! In this case the amnesia is not there to cause angst but to offer her character a second chance! She'll be the key to bring Uk back from the shadows. It'll be kind of like a reincartion plot, but the timeline is the same.

It makes total sense! It's their fate to keep things balanced! Since Uk is going dark, Yeong needs to bring his light back. With the torturing memory of killing her lover she could never bring him back from the darkness. They're like Yin Yang, always balancing each other.
