don't think this really is a 2nd season, it's more like they had a 30 ep show and just chopped it into two parts…
The director suggested extending the story a little bit to give more time to better portray all the characters and their families. He said something like that in the press conference.
One way or another people are going to be unhappy 😅 No JSM, people will be unhappy. A little JSM, people will…
I'm 33, but that doesn't mean anything, I could be 13 and watch way more productions, wtv. The thing is: this is not exactly a body swap story. It's basically an unintentional (at least for our FL) body possession/switch body mishap. We don't know why Buyeon intervened in Naksu's AoS, but that was intended to add mystery to the show. Usually in body swap stories the ones switching bodies are the protagonists. But Buyeon is not the protagonist, Naksu and Uk are. It's weird but I like it. This is not a simple body swap story. I was just throwing suppositions of what could've happen in case they tried to show more of GYJ in the show. It doesn't mean they considered any of those possibilities. Anyway, there wasn't much to bring back about GYJ Naksu. Naksu was a reclusive assassin. The only interaction adult Naksu had with any of the leads was the face-off with Park Jin and her dead body on Songrim's secret room. Let's say she had 20min of screen time instead of 5min, JSM would still be Mudeok 90% of the time and some people would still get mad with the change. Even the seconds GYJ appears just running and flying when shadow assassin Naksu is mentioned cost a lot of money and time. Do you honestly think it would make much of a difference to include more scenes? (rhetorical question).

They maintained GYJ's voice throughout the season. If they showed her face too much the audience could start comapring the actresses, playing favorites, and lose focus on the story. That would also cost more production-wise. Some things just don't make up for the work. Both ways are risky, they opted for the one they thought was more practical.
i feel like "Naksu" will have amnesia also the question still stands of how she got put in her original body with…
Here's another one: Buyeon said that possessing the ice stone power is hard bc you'd wish for rain and it would give you a storm. Maybe Uk wished for his lover to come back and we get Yeong's original body back hahaha
When we got the GYJ rumor, I theorized Naksu would rise from the ashes like a phoenix on the season finale, but the Hong sisters had other plans hahaha Uk rose from the fire, my theory was close enough I guess? dhsuidhsidh
I just didn't notice when I watched the teaser, I was too emotional dhuisdhauih it makes perfect sense that he has her sword! His father's sword is in Songrim now, and he's definitely attached to anything Naksu now :')
