Yeah, the Hong sisters are kinda tacky in the plot aspect. But they create the best, unforgettable, characters. They definitely know how to entertain the audience even when the story is kind of simple minded dhsuihdshiduh I like them.

The Hong sisters are not geniuses when it comes to unfold events in a story, so some things are rushed and happen in not so organic ways. But about Jang Kang I don't think there was anything else to add to his story and the way it ended was consistent with his character.

I don't think he used his powers after he fled Daeho. Uk noticed he was injured and I think that was self-inflicted so he couldn't use magic anymore. I don't know what happened to him in 20 years but there was nothing left of the mage he once was. I think he did reach Chisu, but he didn't reach Hwansu. I think he ran wild because of the soul ejector/ice stone barrier thing. He switched back to his body with the help of the ice stone and stayed away from trouble that would imbalance his energy, so I guess he was ok for the past 20 years.
