It is amazing how many time the FL had to slip and stumble in this drama. But it's also true that if she hadn't stumbled at every step, the romantic scenes wouldn't have happened, and the main heroes would have remained strangers forever. Hm-hm, authors relying on clumsiness to get to chemistry. IMhO the result is not very convincing.
I don't understand why Jiaxin has to speak with such an affected voice, like a stupid spoiled little girl, when she is an intern at a hospital, getting ready to become a doctor. Gets on my nerves.
Not at all disappointed, coz did not grow attached to any characters and frankly imho the house at the end was very ugly. However, I had fun watching the suffering, anguished facial mimicry exhibited by the ML all throughout this stupid drama, as if he was playing in a Shakespearian tragedy. Ha-ha-ha, I like him ! So surprised to discover that the actress Chae Jung An became even younger and prettier 20 years after I saw her in "Coffee Prince", my all time favorite series... A miracle !
The last 15 minutes were the longest awkward 15 minutes in my life. Could not wait for those to end already. The Oscar for the dumbest fighting team goes to team Lan-Rut ! Thank God for 15 only episodes !
Think about it =>If there were 22 eps, you'd have gotten another 7 episodes of the repetitive stuff, because it seems that the writers lack inspiration for any add'l plot and decided to resolve it all in the last episode. So it is better to have the 15th as the last episode. Let's hope that in ep.15 all the repetitive stuff is dropped, and we'll enjoy the resolution. Therefore ... ep.15 = ep.22 !!!

For perfect story & perfect chemistry, I suggest you watch My Forever Sunshine. It is the best lakorn of 2020, and it was not yet surpassed in 2021, thus keeping the "best" title. The fascinating slap/kiss story cannot be compared with the insipid bland MHIL, and the chemistry Kao/Mark is at par with M/Yaya, if not better (imho).

Also, I watched some dramas with Joe Cheng, who was so brilliant here. Well, he was not as good in any other dramas., on the contrary. Then, I decided to watch dramas with Ella Chen. Eureka ! Here lies the secret. She is brilliant, no matter in what drama. ! She is the reason why The Rose is so good.

True, hwr when watching "lakorns", we cooperate with the slap&kiss genre. The rules are similar to when watching opera, we are willing to cooperate with the sad story of the beautiful and graceful heroine, even if the singer is ugly and fat. It is same here, we are watching and measuring HOW, from the obnoxious and hateful behavior, the 2 characters end up loving each others. The more mistreatment, the better "lol".
