Like some said the acting was really good especially with the ML...his banter with the FL was good too BUT the romance hd no depth and it doesn't move u or make ur heart break or make u root for any couple.
Like u don't get why this girl or boy like this person this much?! The romantic chemistry is also minimum for all couples

Nana's character was underdeveloped honestly and I wish her character showed more shades and her story with the ML should have been freshen out a bit more ..maybe the drama was too short for them to show everything

I hope I get to see the FL in a powerful queen role one day ,she has the aura for those strong,smart FL roles....strong acting but her motivation were weak and I wish she had bigger ambitions

Is it watchable? Definitely.....is it different..definately....they were bold and took some risk with some good acting but the story and motives of main characters were not strong enough

Like there was a crack down on Weibo on accounts that create targeted negative campaign against actors and dramas and shake them down for money conducted by Chinese authority and the official report said zlh was the main target and both his drama especially overdo were targeted heavily.

Plus what op said is true the AI thing was blown out of proportion no other drama since then has faced any blowback bcoz of AI which make the whole thing suspicious

That's good ..fingers crossed......bcoz honestly the FL does cunning very well from my MJTY experience and the ML does it well to from the story of K palace ..I also loved the director previous drama for me it was one of the most unique drama in a long while(a dream within a dream)

Things look grim from social media discussion but l really hope he gets a good strong character like in the novel and great screen time as the ML because he deserves it and the combination has strong potential if done right

POJ got popular from the start due to a powerful CP and good BTS between the leads and at least the initial 15 episodes built around them ,even though they butchered the story later on , people were already hooked and the leads character bond and chemistry remain strong (which made many stick around)
Why make choices that will sabotage ur drama from getting all benefits and hype during airing?

I really really want to watch this drama and enjoy it in peace when it airs

..it's very female center and the 2ml is literally the king and married to the FL another potential risk of being used
I really wished he takes equal role roles like the best thing..if historical then something authoritative and he should be involved in combat if it's war like show his capabilities...
