I also watched the anime and read the novel. Yes it is different but not bad to me. They could not show the reincarnation…
I did not want to say that your points were not valid ;-) They are and I agree they changed the characters but I am really looking for their development. First, about Master, I was mad but then noticed then that I like him a lot. For Tang San, he might seem naive but he is still pretty smart and learns quickly to me. A pity they could not show the reincarnation but interesting to see how he will evolve. I am so used to read the novel or manga, then go to animation then to animation or different order ;-) that I try to consider them separately. Here the story is still consistent. In Legend of Fei, I just got really confused. I love battles and can't wait for them. First, when I watched the animation, it gave a Hunter Hunter feeling and wanted a Hisoka to appear ;-) I did not really Xiao Wu in the animation, found her really annoying and did not want her to be TS love interest haha. I like it here that she seems smarter and strong even if still annoying during the first episodes. I agree that they revealed too much too soon about her though. I am waiting for more development around the character of Xiao Gang as I would be disappointed if he does not level up more. Dai Mu Bai seems to have more a mysterious aura in the drama as in the animation, which I kinda like. The balance between him and Zhu Zhuqing was good in the animation so I hope they find a good way to do that in the drama. Watching ep 10 and 11 today and looking forward to it.
in the book it happened when they were 6 yrs old so it was very reasonable to make them adoptive siblings, bc…
for me, not out of nowhere as they both had no family left and have a strong bond to eo. In the anime too they are older than 6 when they become brother and sister.
I think if you've seen the donghua/anime or read the novels, you're probably likely going to be extremely disappointed…
I also watched the anime and read the novel. Yes it is different but not bad to me. They could not show the reincarnation thing and had to find another way. In the first 5 episodes they had to put some base story but then from episode 6 the pace is different. So hang in there lol I watched Legend of Fei too and I don not think they can be compared in that way...
