I think people are definitely projecting and being bitter because he has said or done nothing to imply he was waiting for marriage to end or ML to die. Or he would've done that long time ago. It's sad that some people mix the actors and characters in a drama. It's like now that their favorite actor's character is dead, the FL also shouldn't find some happiness and sanity because how dare a widowed person be okay without the spouse. How dare someone else still like the widowed person and support them while their life is a chaos...😒

It's all the unnecessary hate the 2nd ML is getting just because the husband and their bias's character is dead now. When the 2nd ML did nothing but help the FL since EP 1 and has been the only friend or support beside her throughout this chaos. It's so petty and immature. I stopped commenting on this page just because of some of these viewers who cannot form another perspective and only judge everything by the typical kdrama formula. I don't care if they get together or not but the fact that some people here think a woman or a man cannot find love again after a traumatic marriage or past is really mind blowing. 2nd ML was only FL lead's and 2FL's acquaintance and didn't have much of a relationship with the husband. So I don't know why some people expect him to be depressed over the ML's death. All our priority is our friend or acquaintance first, not someone we didn't know that well.

This reminds me of all the hate the 2nd ML got in Love Alarm 2 because the FL chose him over ML which got Song Kang fans mad lool.

Probably the only character so far who hasn't been working against the FL. Maybe he will turn out to be another betrayer but for now he has only been helping our FL.

All the SML hate from die hard some actor fans and people thought it would be a typical ML & FL couple like previous kdramas is sending me 💀 exactly what I expected given how some of these people were commenting about FL previously lol

No they are not. SM and JW had different parents but JW mother later had an affair with SM's father.

Ah yes I get what you mean. A lot of it is internalised misogyny and probably emotional incest. The attention they didn't get from their husbands they project it onto their sons. They get into some weird competition with their DIL for their son's affection. They were also probably treated the same way by their MILs so it's a toxic cycle. The stuff PMH mother was saying was so misogynistic. And she was clearly jealous that her son bought expensive gifts for his gf but never bought anything for her. There are women like that too. The "boy-moms".

I think that's just about being overly controlling. There's good mothers with a strong personality and aura who guide their kids in the right direction and then there are the overly controlling moms who think their children (more so sons) can do no wrong. And want to control every aspect of their lives.
I also think not letting someone express themselves is a sign of toxicity. Also seen with men who think they run the households so they decide what everyone should be doing.

Japan's high stalker and assault cases aside, Japan also has high child abuse rate. But the blind fans are not ready to listen to this. The societal pressure on certain groups of people is indeed brutal. The famous Japanese saying - 出る釘は 打たれる - nail that sticks out gets hammered down is a perfect example.

South Korea is in fact one of the most misogynistic and ableist countries. I love good parts of the SK culture but there have been many evidence that people from SK are in fact very harsh on people with mental health issues. The bullying culture is rampant, the no. of suicide cases are high at schools, colleges and workplace and assault on women and then getting away with it is known by everyone who has done some research on SK. I would say Korea comes 2nd in East Asia and 1st is Japan.

There have been many many articles and studies done on this and people from these countries admit to this thinking. But a lot of interfans deny because of the Kwave and Jwave.
