Tried to watch this a few years ago, didn't get past the first episode, just finished the last book today and now ready to give this series a second shot
I watched ep 8 and 9 today and I swear I've never been this frustrated while watching something With Peem, yeah, okay, fair BUT WHO TF THROWS A NEW-BORN CHILD INTO A RIVER?!??!?!
I wasn't too interested in the story or plot or anything really but Gijun's character made me really watch it all. I ended up liking it just okay, was a good way to spend time!
Also, there is so much blood and very raw violence so if you're sensitive, please be careful. I'm not really sensitive to that kind of things but it was hard to watch from time to time (especially while eating :'))
An easy and quick watch. Might be a little cliché but I enjoyed every episode and giggled like a teenager. Cute and sweet. Eunho was my favorite character for sure.
Soo, 4/8 episodes watched. So far so good. I am personally not a fan of series that circle around politics or other similar stuff so I was very skeptical about starting this but I'm glad I did. Honestly, Mile and Apo don't disappoint, I really enjoy watching their acting. It's a good series. Unique, more like a drama with queer people than a BL. I like that there's an actual storyline (even though I don't like the storyline that much because of my personal preferences). The characters are also not too shallow and chemistry great (as expected from Mile and Apo). Not a lot to say about the second couple since I'm kinda just ignoring their existence because of the cheating. Hard to see happy endings for anyone sonce this is literally a perfect series for a tragic ending but I'll keep fingers crossed. 🤞 I generally don't like series that make me stress (and this ones DOES oh my God, I'm literally on my tiptoes on every single scene) but I'll take it this once.
(Also the poetry scenes are kinda life-changing because what do you mean this is making me reconsider all my life choices???)
Okay so 6/12 episodes watched: The first few episodes were personally very tacky for me and quite hard to get through. It wasn't necessarily bad but it felt a little lacking, confusing and maybe a little rushed (especially since the slow burn in The Untamed and Heaven Official's Blessing is really IT for me). I didn't like the storyline that much at first either. But I love historical dramas (especially when they're a little gay) so I pushed through and at some point it just clicked and I literally inhaled next few episodes. So now I have very positive feelings towards it and would recommend! It's a solid 7,5 for me because there are things that don't quite sit right with me but it's been a good watch so far. I recommend watching on YouTube because the good video quality really makes it better.
Also I think Shuhe is very pretty and he kinda gives off Lan Xichen vibes. I like his voice a lot as well (I don't know if it's dubbed but anyways!)
I thought the music was one of the best part 😭 specially the background music at Punn's "workshop".…
Yeah, that's completely valid too but for some reason it takes too much of my attention and then I can't take the scene seriously 🙈 Maybe it's just something that needs to be get used to for me :)
So far, I quite like the series. It's not the best but a good way to pass time. I think the 7.7 rating describes it pretty well
Also, Khem is so strong; if I was him, I would be a one big mess of several different traumas and nothing else
With Peem, yeah, okay, fair
